Ronald Koeman discussion

Poor fare indeed. Deserves all the criticism he gets tonight. Scrapping to 7th regardless of the long term plan is not good enough for any Everton manager.

It's an awkward truth but regardless of the reasons (lame players etc) he's really not shown anything at all so far to suggest he's going to be a substatial improvement on the previous two managers. Obviously we need to give him more time and some money and see what happens, but so far im as unimpressed with him as I am the players.

No one is happy, I know I'm pussed off massively, also when you look at the strength of the 6 teams ahead of us given our recent decline and their strengthenin, where we are in the league is the best we can hope for. So it does feel like season over, but Rome wasn't built in a day and you get the same trophies for going out today as you do for losing in a final or, the embarrassingly small time mentality that celebrated reaching semi-finals.

Just need to move on, hopefully it gives the money men a shot in the arm, because today goes to show that playing a youngster and Barry ain't going to win us many games, nor is playing Mori and the like.

I know, just difficult to find perspective after going out at home to Leicester.

Completely with you on Barry and Mori, sooner they're ushered out the better. The whole team needs a massive shot in the arm with new signings. Feel sorry for the younger kids being thrown into this.

Weaker squad? From you, a lad who's done nothing but hammer Moshiri and the summer window? How have you come to that conclusion?
We signed players, albeit they were mostly sh¡te, but we have still improved.

Koeman just doesn't have a clue.

I didn't even like Martinez.

Should we be competing with UTD at the moment? With this squad? With Mori, Barry and a few inexperienced players?

That's if it's UTD who are one place above.

With a squad which was developed over nearly 3 years to fit his style of play.
Judge Koeman then. Sacking him now is minnow mentality.
We'll be minnows if we let that clown have 3 years.

It's only the fact that the teams below us are all woeful that we are as high as 7th.

By all rights we should be scrapping to stay up.

For all the talk of being minted the board are currently letting him down. Just pay the effing money for his targets and get them in. Schneiderlein like that ndidi for them should have been signed up for Jan 1st and in the starting 11 to replace Barry as he was the priority signing. No Everton clown around and wait til the seasons over before finally offering what Utd want.

There's no excuse for going out like that against absolute wasters like Leicester, but once we cocked the summer up, it was unlikely to be our season this year.

Let's wait to see what Koeman does with the money that's available to him in January and the summer and if things don't improve then decide whether the problem is him or the board.

If we spend like a club with ambition in the next two windows, I'll be happy and ready to judge Koeman fairly next season. As of yet, this isn't his team at all and he always needed time to improve on what Martinez left him with.

There's a good 3/4 obvious WUMs on here that are spoiling the site atm.

The posters that seem to enjoy being trolled by them are just as culpable for me.

Still not prepared to alter my stance on Koeman. It's not the manager that needs changing it's the squad. That said, can't deny I'm dissapointed by the influence he had thus far. Expected so much more from this season and from him.

Again, always stated that imo he deserves to have three windows to get it right. If he hasn't by then, I have no objections to call it a day. Always liked Koeman as a manager and a person. The choice between him and Everton is an easy one however.

Edit: the point of always liking Koeman is not strictly true. Have to be careful with @chicoazul 's vaulting skills
