I agree, I'm not happy we've gone out, I love a Wembley trip, but this is nothing new. We went one better only 2 seasons ago and went out at the first attempt in both rounds.Tbf there is a difference between folding limply in the first round of each cup and progressing even if only a few stages further - for a start gives us more games to watch/listen to rather than than nothing other than the league to look forsward to.
I agree. I hope Koeman will come good. However, I had my doubts about him especially from his period in Valencia, and this doubts are still here. I am willing to give him until March/April to start turning things around. But the start has not been particularly good for a 6 mill pound manager. Outplayed by Bornemouth, Burnley, Watford and Swansea and kicked out from both cups by the mighty Norwich and Leicester. Not good enough so far.Still not prepared to alter my stance on Koeman. It's not the manager that needs changing it's the squad. That said, can't deny I'm dissapointed by the influence he had thus far. Expected so much more from this season and from him.
Again, always stated that imo he deserves to have three windows to get it right. If he hasn't by then, I have no objections to call it a day. Always liked Koeman as a manager and a person. The choice between him and Everton is an easy one however.
Edit: the point of always liking Koeman is not strictly true. Have to be careful with @chicoazul 's vaulting skills

Its the flip-flopping of the system for me. Why change a system after a 3.0 win?? He changed it at half time but its too regular now - 3 at the back, then 4, bring Barry in, slow it down etc etc it doesnt work.
But surely a good manager can still motivate?I reckon most of the players know he's gonna get rid so they've stopped playing.
Of course. No one is denying that. The extremes are the ones that make for good conversation, god bless em.

Sorry.....I put that post in the wrong thread.
It us now in the match thread

Yep. No doubt. I'm not praising him here, I'm very neutral, but TBF I thought it was gonna be fireworks with chants if "OUT" at every turn, but it's been reasonable, I've barely mentioned Martinez.Honestly, our cup perfomances (if they could be called that) are a massive black mark against him already. Any sort of run would keep his doubters enthusiastic enough, but I wouldn't underplay this. When we're looking at this season in review, it's going to make for grim reading barring an incredible run in the league
But but but...ha ha.Finally you've come out and said it
