Ronald Koeman discussion

I agree. I hope Koeman will come good. However, I had my doubts about him especially from his period in Valencia, and this doubts are still here. I am willing to give him until March/April to start turning things around. But the start has not been particularly good for a 6 mill pound manager. Outplayed by Bornemouth, Burnley, Watford and Swansea and kicked out from both cups by the mighty Norwich and Leicester. Not good enough so far.

So because he gets payed 6mill he has to be some kind of wizard?? And we werent outplayed by them, we just lost. That can happen if you see our poor squad. 7th is the maximum with these players.

Anyone suggesting that the same squad that got us to two cup SFs last season cant be expected to win at home in the 3rd round of the cup to a Mahrez/Vardy-less Leicester need to have a word with themselves.

The players aren't the issue. The manager is a poor fit on current evidence.
Your mate filled the squad with a bunch of gutless no-hopers who haven't got an ounce of fight amongst them. Sooner Koeman can ship them out the better. To try and blame him for their ineptitude is laughable.

What's the issue now? We got the disciplinarian in and he doesn't seem to be able to get a tune out of these lads any more than Martinez did

Because they're all woeful. Martinez built this squad so he's an obvious issue. But for me the summer transfer window failure was the biggest issue of all. Everyone involved should be ashamed for wasting so much time sat round with their fingers up their arses until the middle of August. Going into the season with this car crash squad of Moyes veterans and Martinez misfits has crippled us.

This, regardless of previous stance, but when you consider how foul mouthed he was about this squad last season, it's more than laughable.

Martinez disappointed in the end mate precisely because we knew he could get it so much better. From 72 points to 49 points was shocking. Koeman we haven;t a clue what he can do at this club. Totally unproven.

I tell you what Groucho: if in the next three seasons Koeman gets us 5th and to Wembley I will be amazed.
Dave I will take that and run as I never thought I'd see it lol

As for your last sentence, if we invest heavily I'll disagree, I think we'll do better. If we carry on as the Everton of late and are tight, I agree totally.

We're going nowhere without investment in the team irrelevant of the manager but we need to spend wisely.
Rk only wants 27yo's + for instant impact but that could waste a golden opportunity. Bolasie's been a financial disaster.
Happy to get Morgan but we'll only get the most out of SW if he's allowed to go after his targets.
RK has stated if he can't have who he wants he doesn't want anyone else. That attitude curtails SW's expertise and is certainly not in the best interest of the club long term.

Everyone has to be on the same page, or what's the point? P****** more money up the wall?

Funny, because when we had to endure Robert's mind numbing league performances last year, it was all down to the players.
Mind numbing football? Lol. It may have been a grind when teams sat deep like the cowards they are, but I doubt Martinez will ever be associated with dull football by anyone in the football world other than a bitter core of Evertonians who now have egg on their faces having seen another manager come in and fall on his arse with the most embarrassing bunch of hoofball seen at GP since Smith and Moyes were killing pigeons on an industrial scale.

Hahaha funny guy. With this players you can lose at home against leicester. Its not good but it can happen. It will take some years to clean up the mess your friend martinez left behind.

Poor workman blames their tools.
I tell you what though Tommy, Koeman will have a majority of players bought in soon. He BETTER get the results and football going then.

Mate the football was awful. Cowardly and painful to watch. And it was like that for ages.
