Ronald Koeman discussion

He moans how we drop back and play too deep. Yet he plays barry. When barry plays we drop too deep. When barry plays we lose. Yet he will pick him again next week. So again we will lose next week.

I have to say, I feel slightly better after Koeman's comments. There's an element of the bad workman there (our squad isn't great, but it should still be progressing farther in domestic cup competitions), but it's a ballsy call-out and demonstrates a will to fight for what he wants.

You must at least be glad to see a manager finally hold the board to account and call out their BS. It's been a long day coming.
He's squealing like a stuck pig in public when he needs to keep that behind the scenes and get his point across in the boardroom. We dont want a diva cry arseing to the media thanks very much. He screwed that one up today and he's thrown his dummy out the pram.

But they DO compete. They do press now and defend better than at any point in the last two seasons.
What they don't know how to do though is keep the ball. How to shape up after 60 mins of running their balls off. How to manage the game.
Everyone pillored the last manager so why can't we critique the current one?

This manager can be criticised just the same as any manager; the problem with being over critical at this point is that we basically have the same players as we had under Martinez; I am not sure Koeman would choose our current personnel.
I will reserve my judgement on him until he has had the opportunity to stamp his on Mark on the team.
Today has been a great disappointment, I thought we might do OK in the cup this year but our inconsistency has caught us out here.
Under Norman we have put ourselves in 7th place, we are very inconsistent and are playing a poor style of football but again we are 7th. I had real fears that if we had persisted with Martinez we would be in a relegation battle this year.
So on the positive side we have gathered points in the league, we look like we might buy some quality this window.
In my opinion the jury is still out on Koeman, definate plus and definate minus points.

The only other available alternative was the amazing Tom Cleverley.

He played Holagte, Davies, Barkley and Valencia, who people have been crying out for to be played together.

He's dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't.

Oh Ronny,
3 competitions to go for.
1 League cup... go out tamely to a bunch of turkey gobblers.
2 The Prem League........... Beaten by league 2 standard teams, Watford,Bournemouth ,Burnley.....it was never on anyway.
3. The only competition left, the F.A cup.Going out at the first hurdle, to a half arsed Leicester team.
You're out of your depth. This is a full-time job.

Maybe behind the scenes he has voiced it but to get it across he has let everybody no.
