Ronald Koeman discussion

koemans ready for walking away, on the whole with a few exceptions are a pretty desperate bunch of players, a legacy of aging players and bad cheap buys has left us with no alternative but to spend on recruiting 8 minimum players before next season.
Some would say get a new manager, then we will be alright, but I am afraid you could have Catterick, Kendal, Clough, Busby and Ferguson and the results would be the same.
You cannot make a silk purse out of a pigs ear, and boy, have we got some pork out there.
Tonight he issued an ultimatum, do what you said or I go.

but why arnt they pressing or fighting for him are we saying 16 squad players are all poor and its them not the manager

just not the right players i think. I think it's fair to say our strategy under martinez was not to press the ball, and he bought players to remonstrate that. Most of this squad is his team if we're being honest and the massive difference between the centre mids he brought in or through is gueye, a player who arrived when he left who is by far our best presser. Davies has shown that energy too, another one who has been brought in.

Think it's as simple as that really, it should start at the top of the pitch with the striker, but i don't want lukaku to lose what makes him great, that's not his game, so we need to buy someone to do that running up there with him who will also take a defender or two away from him, because one on one, the man is lethal.

same squad got to two semi finals last season this season we get knocked out by a relegation side and a championship side hes doing worse than the last bloke

You mean the same squad that was leaking goals at an alarming rate last season? The same squad that was guilty of that utter capitulation to the rs at Mordor last season? Bar one or two signings (two of those better signings were not in the squad today - Gana and Bolasie) it is pretty much the same squad. It's rotten to the core, team spirit has gone, 11 strangers playing on a football pitch. We need serious reinforcements and to jettison a load of dead wood.

Except when we took Barry out the team and put an energetic midfielder in along side a Gueye we beat arsenal? Not only that but we had another striker along side lukaku and both of them played well in different than usual ways.

The signs are actually there that the potential to what koeman wants actually is good. The limit he has is the players at his disposal. I actually agree with the notion that the team needs rebuilding completely onto one that isn't a shower of big headed egos and one that plays for the badge, or at least plays for that big money move to the top teams. Least you get a bit of passion then.

how many games have we played this season and you can prob think of 1 or 2 good showings

Link to ultimatum please.

better than whats happened this season with a manager who im told is great

Yes but that doesnt say a thing about the manager. We didnt reach the semi finals last year because of the manager and we didnt get kicked out against leicester because of the manager. If we finish 7th he has done a good job.

Today was the first time he sounded properly P'd off, just like we've been for months, and not like someone who just turns up at a part-time job.

Time the board have a massive kick up the arse and certain people who've never contributed anything were chased out altogether.

Up to now, he has sounded to me like an android. His post-match comments were, for the first time, a welcome indication of some real passion in there. I hope he shows us more of it.

hes done an ok job in my opinion 7th is what i would expect the teams below do not have better squads and we have the best striker outside the top 6

Tell them Ronnie.
Is there a link to the post game presser. The only one I saw was the one on the OS. I am wondering if I am missing something. Regarding calling out the board or saying more than the lack of defensive pressure leading to the equalizer.

He tactically made the right sub to get the opening goal. Then Evertons heads went. I think it is clear Barry can be a squad player but we have not won a game in how long when he has started a game. Needed Morgs in (Last) Monday. Get it done board!
