Ronald Koeman discussion

You really want Koeman to have us playing 50 games a season when he cant cut it over the first 20 odd of this season!

We reached two SFs last season and had our hopes ignited and it kept interest in us taking our first trophy since 95. Now we have nothing. NOTHING.

In order to make the thread run in a forwardly direction, lets not focus on what went before, yes im aware I mentioned the 21 years, but lets look at the here and now.

We have a squad full of some very talented players, but sadly, in key areas we have underperforming players that have needed replacing for a number of years. Our manager is trying to advance the playing side of the squad, but is being frustrated in his desire to increase the quality of the squad.

Thats currently were we stand, I assume you are backing the Board in all this? A stance I find doesnt fit the stance that you have taken for the last 7 or 8 years of your being on this forum. Which either means you are lying or you are simply being an utter wum that should be removed from this thread, what is it David, are you lying or wumming?

Everton do seem to excel at ensuring that a positive news week where the expectation level is ratcheted up is then followed up immediately with a result like todays.

Nothing has been spent under the new regime, so if feet are being dragged over transfers then RK has every right to call the board to task.

Apart from the fans, if the manager of the day doesn't care, nobody else will either.

The McNulty article is nothing really - the media won't and don't care that we are so far behind.

So RK gets credit for echoing the sentiments and frustration of so many blues.

It's a bit odd to see it so soon after the GM which was generally good, if not laced with the usual propaganda that is to be expected at such events.

A far more interesting exercise would be to have a fan Q&A with Moshiri but I wouldn't expect that.

They really do need to start getting deals over the line and money going out, as much as I think January isn't great for that then they still need to reward the good faith of fans and start delivering.

Stoke have spent quite a bit. Southampton have been impressive with their spending. Koeman will take over from Wenger...no shadow of a doubt in my mind.

@davek

You said that about Koeman on 30th March 2016.
How can , in your mind, Ronald be good enough to take over from Wenger but not good enough for us?

He really is a joke

Thinking sensibly about it I'm wondering if the Everton players haven't really bought into the way Koeman wants us to play, at Southampton he inherited a squad that didn't have the egos of alot of our players so they sort of bought into his way. Here a lot of players have been here a good while and play international football and he doesn't seem to be getting it though to them. But I have the feeling with Koeman it's his way or no way no compromising.

My hope was not ignited last season until the last game against Norwich when a few people in blue showed they could still play football

I am consistent. I dont trust the board to provide him with cash. Neither do I trust Koeman to get it out of them - and playing to the gallery like this emphasises he wont be able to get it out of them - it's megaphone diplomacy and that's all about heaping blame on others. That rant today (if he in fact said those words) was pure frustration at the defeat and an attempt to deflect away from himself and onto others. It was pretty dishonest.

With all due respect, you're not. Nowhere near.

You backed Martinez, when he had us at humiliating depths, you had it in for Koeman the second results turned and I can prove it.
