Ronald Koeman discussion

Would have liked the statement to come from Mr Moshiri, not that absolute cockwomble Kenwright who has done absolutely nothing for the club for over 15 years. Do one Bill.

Aside from this, how do we pay them 5m compensation if Koeman resigned from Southampton? Surely we paid to transfer his contract to us? If he resigned and they accepted it (as per their statement) that surely means he was no longer contracted to them. Seems a bit strange to me.
Its a statement not a legal document. Of course he has resigned and they accepted once compensation was agreed.

Stop dreaming Lukaku = gone

He may well be, the point I was making is that whether he stays or goes, it needs to be one of the first thing RK addresses and he won't want any commitment issues. They will need to commit with new contracts or he will move them on.

Finally over. I know we all had different preferences ( i wanted emery) but we got our man and nows time to get behind him

Come on. Do you blame them. We would be the same. In fact we do not accept 'bigger clubs' wanting our players at all. They are to be expected to be upset. Don't turn into an idiot like Mark Hughes gloating because we are now in a better cash position. Gloat on the way up and you become sad individuals like kopites and Mancs. Unable to come to terms with who you are now, one of a bunch, which is all we can say. We can now compete and the rest remains to be seen.

Erm, what are you going on about?

Yes, I do blame them. The club should thank their employee for his efforts and wish him well - to not do so is unnecessary and bitter.

It's got nothing to do with the actions of their fans, it's about the club being unprofessional in that statement.

Sooo until the euros ends what kind of tasks do you think he'll be doing over the next few weeks?

He'll most likely be out at the Euros at some point I imagine, and will be in finch farm assessing/meeting the team and any changes that need to be implemented.

Early July/once Euros are over anybody who hasn't been playing in them will be in pre-season.

A week or two after the Euros finish anybody who was in a team that got knocked out in the group stage will be back - and then any of them that got through to the final rounds after that.

Probably make some early moves in the window as well - and there'll be talks with Stones and Lukaku, I imagine.

Then it starts

Well done. You must be very proud of letting your bitterness and bile take precedence over this appointment.
Enjoy the season.
