Ronald Koeman discussion

I cant believe we would leave negotiating transfers to Walsh, who had no experience of doing that at Leicester. He may be involved or gave a say but there is no way it falls on him.

He didn't though mate. He just a whinged about Steve Walsh not getting deals done.

There's no forthright manager here to be seen.
Exactly, he's blaming everybody else for his failings as a manager. It's not straight talking it's poor management. Normally managers wait until they're about to be sacked before pulling these moves!

I agree the timing of RK's comments is strange.

Perhaps it is just frustration with today's result boiling over.

The more I reflect on it, RK must have surely known months ago what the budget is, so it's less likely to be annoyance with whatever that figure is. Unless of course, he has been led up the garden path on that front. If that's the case then it's obviously hugely concerning.

If it's not the money, then it's the execution. Again here, they have had months to learn from the mistakes of the summer and to iron out exactly who will do what.

Kenwright and Elstone have never had my confidence but here too they have no need to be unnecessarily circumspect about spending someone else's money, when we have had none for years.

If Walsh is still having to untangle himself from Bill and Bob to do business then it's a failure of leadership on a colossal scale which would justify Moshiri's direct intervention immediately. To see Elstone trying to claim credit for the sponsorship the other evening was nauseating. If he is still contributing to amateur hour then he should be the first casualty.

OK mate. 2 absolute yard dogs as his competition but we can't guarantee he'd be the starting keeper baring a dip in form. Laughable

You just answered your own question.

How can you guarantee someone number one status except if he doesnt play well? Thus its not a guarantee.

This is a great post. I'll come back on it tomorrow when I've reflected on it. As you say it's not wrong what he says, but bizarre timing a week in.
