Must admit, I backed Martinez, but it got to the point where I used to pray after we got beat that someone else would come out and do the post match interview.

Koeman admitted responsibility. He wasn't blaming the defeat on the transfers.

Let's diminish the Martinez ey? It didn't work out. It became quite clear that he was not capable of managing our football club any longer. He got sacked for it. Let's give our new manager, who has the better credentials, time but more importantly support to at least push on and push forward.

'Martinez was worse though' is not enough to give Koeman a blank cheque. Obviously he will get time (as he should) and still has my backing, no one I've seen is calling for him to go, is it too much to ask though for him to take cup competitions seriously and keep his mouth shut in front of the press a bit more?
