It's reading stuff like this is when I disagree I mean Martinez took a top 7 team and once he got his players in marched us backwards down the league and that clown got 3 years years do it.

Three years down the line with our better players now older and were expecting miracles from the mess left behind from Martinez. Its going to take time to clean up thus mess and good signings too.

What are peoples views if we finish around 10th, Pretty much what Martinez achieved in his last two seasons

I wouldn't say he was covering his own arse. He attacked others BECAUSE he is the manager. He sees a limited team that needs improving. New players are the only answer to improve the team. He is frustrated at the inability and weak mindedness of the team. The players shot themselves in the foot not Koeman. Our squad is not good enough and Koeman has his targets and wants the board to get them asap. He is pointing out what is needed nothing more nothing less.

It is what it is, he needs windows to build a squad of his own. Not try and mould a bunch of gutless clowns left over by that absolute fraud

If so then he will be under serious scrutiny because he will have had a January window to bring his players in but its still early doors in his job. If after 2 or 3 seasons we are still 10th or so then it will be goodbye to him I have no doubt but its still too early and he has only had a short summer window to work in so far.

Agree with you on this Banno. It's now a crucial three weeks for Koeman, Walsh and the board to make sure this transfer window isn't the calamitous farce that was last summer's window.

Spot on, how can you judge a manger after 6 months when he took over a shambles of a team. I just want him to ofload the crap and pansies.

I'm not questioning that, But, If he fails to improve on Martinez league finishes over the past two seasons after bringing in 4-5 of his own players and backroom staff then surely questions need to be asked

Not sure how motivated the players will be to maintain 7th either - not like it's going to get us into Europe. Could easily see us tanking matches towards the end of the season
 
Koeman was to blame for playing 5 at the back and defensive midfielders at home in the cup.

He isn't to blame for this shambles of a squad, though.

He has been well and truly conned.
