If he was a makeshift striker I'd go along, however Koeman has clearly intended to use him as a forward from the moment he came - so as a result, if he sees Deulofeu as a striker, then he has a recognised forward for the match.

I agree it's underwhelming we've not signed a 'Bony' for example, but there transfer window isn't closed and he stated he wants more incomings, one of which I'm sure will be a CF.

Think Rom might have needed the extra week of training more than most though. I can't see him being fit enough even if he's recovered.
