dont get all the hype over sigurdsson me, good player yes but not that good, was a massive flop at spurs, hes found his level at swansea
I think he'd be a good but not outstanding signing. He's already turned us down also. Why did he flop at Spurs?
But how is buying players and evolving away from the players you inherit the same as publicly declaring your playing staff not fit for purpose.
Im just not getting the similarities here between our greatest ever manager - a humble genius and excellent man manager - with some blow hard Dutchman who's done nothing in comparison and who throws his own players under the bus by the shed full.
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.li...news/sigurdsson-not-move-everton-11869632.ampI'm not sure he turned us down. It goes against all logic to think he chose to stay at Swansea rather than come to us.
In the summer I think are name was used often to flush out interest and drive up prices. Just like with arnautovic.
Reported in the press that we are interested. The player then signs a bumper new contract.
I've said consistently this transfer window I'd make only one addition: Sigurdsson. That at least would offer us another string to our bow. The rest can wait until the summer because the season is over.
Excellent point. Worth observing that Leicester's unlikely success arguably began at the tail end of the season when the team 'clicked' and went on a run that saved them from relegation. You can use this season to blend players in and get them ready for next season
Emery was my first choice, Favre second. His managerial approach has already yielded success during his career something you continually gloss over. However you are right that from our point of view the proof of the pudding will be results on the pitch.
Just out of interest who did you want as manager ? I was hoping for Favre for the record.

After 20 games they where 8 points behind the 6th placed team, they ended up finishing 1 point ahead of them, so yeah actually Dave they did close a 9 point gap on the 6th placed team last season
The last thing this club needs is to get into that EL fiasco cup. Next season will be finished before it's started. The season is not really over because 7th might well get us into Europe and also the teams above all lose, so as we strengthen you never now.
But if they make good ground and nearly catch up or even catch up don't you think it will be an improvement on managers mate ?Well i didn't assert they didn't make any such gap up, I merely asked the question whether they had. But the important thing to note there was that the low hanging fruit to pluck was WHU...and the low hanging fruit this time is Man Utd.
Big difference in terms of how those two teams will finish off any season, dont you agree?
He's a cut above any one we have creatively.I think he'd be a good but not outstanding signing. He's already turned us down also. Why did he flop at Spurs?

It;s all about timing mate. The times when Koeman pipes up and throws his players to the dogs are when we've had a bad reversal and he's looking to deflect.Come on Davek. You know quite well I am not comparing them as people. I am saying that Howard didn't say anything to the press but still bought 7 players and got rid of a few. His actions are basically the same as Koemans apart from Koeman stating what he was/is going to do. The actions are still the same. They did not like what they inherited and went about change. If by saying some players have not got a future at Everton is the equal of throwing them under the bus by the shed full is correct then you have the right to think that but I certainly don't. To me he is doing a managers job by trying to make the team better and bowing to nearly all Evertonians to the ridding of deadwood. He has done nothing wrong there. But to imply that I was comparing Howard to Koeman in the terms you wrote is a low low blow.
