Hopefully he doesn't change the side too much for Palace. Despite it seeming like a defensive formation vs a team that won't come at us as much it actually adds more width than our normal formation since the full backs we have are better than our wingers.

...no, that Guardiola needs a bit of moral support for slumping to 5th in the PL.I don't understand your point here? The trophy count is evidence he'll get it right soon?
The team should have enough momentum coming off a 4-0 demolition of City. I cant help thinking though that we usually only play when we're forced to by going behind.
They need the points here otherwise the suspicion will be that we can beat teams on the break and dont have the smarts to open up stubborn defences.

They were the better team at Goodison a few months back. Alardyce is under the cosh, It wont be easy, but surely to goodness three points are a must here?I'd expect Palace playing at home to come at us normally for our counter-attacking style but their confidence will be so low at the minute they might be really negative to try ensure a point.

I'm sure Guardiola is arsed about being a couple of points off the CL spots. If it were me I'd walk out in front of the interviewers with all my winners medals round my neck and laugh at every divvy question they made.Koeman could tell you he's cured cancer and you'd still try and spin it negatively.
Guardiola is obviously struggling to adapt fully to the PL and Koeman is acknowledging his talents as a manager and saying he'll be fine in the end. Nothing wrong with that; it's actually a nice gesture from one friend to another.
I'm not saying it wasn't meant kindly, it just sounded ridiculous consoling the most successful manager in recent times.I know you don't like Koeman but come on lol
They're great friends, what else would you expect him to say?
