A bit of traction in my house. Two tricky games, with different problems to address, and 6 points.

The recent run is encouraging, but my point about Koeman has always been that he's a streaky manager. Good first 5 games this season followed by 3 wins in 17 games. Now we have an upturn, but there will be another downturn.

It's the nature of the beast.

We won and I thought of you. Mainly the point about how we'd find it hard to break down teams that weren't coming at us and how we'd find it hard against Palace. Absolutely right on that score. Still need a playmaker (although I don't think that needs to be instead of Schneiderlin but as well as).

To be fair he would be a miracle worker to get us top 4 unless the other clubs implode. We are where we should be, (possibly even one place higher as I still think Stoke have the better squad) so he is doing a good job.

I agree his career shows that he goes through patches of really good form mixed in between bad spells but we have just got to be thankful we are getting the points.

5 points off Man utd who have Mourinho, had a better squad to start with and spent more in the summer shows it isn't all bad.

Oh aye, at the moment it's nothing to complain about. Nothing to write home about either.

United are the low lying fruit. I can't see them collapsing, tbh. They fought well at a difficult away fixture today, for example.

Fair enough. I can't see the top 6 all getting 70+ points as they will take points off each other. One maybe 2 teams will drop off and I think we could be ready to pounce.

I thought Barkley suited that role particularly well today. He impressed me again. I think Koeman will stick with him.

We've been absolutely terrible for two seasons previously, let's give him a chance.

I wasn't a huge fan of Koeman a couple of months ago, but he has shown he can adapt and we're seeing results from this.

We're celebrating winning another game mate, we're Evertonians and we've won 2 tricky games in a week, and kept another 2 clean sheets.
