crap and you know it ....Must be nice to still have a competitive season still though. One step away from a final and playing this weekend in the other cup while we have our fingers up our arses.

Dave can't have anything up his arse, as he's too busy talking out of it.
Koeman: It's a positive but okay, lots to still improve. That's certainly a positive!

Martinez: What a phenomenal effort, huge positive.
So you don't think continuing to develop bond and grow the squad for the rest of the season is worthwhile ?Southampton's season is alive and well and looking like they might get a final and silverware. We, on the other hand, saw our season die on its arse two weeks ago.
The question posed underlines where you and I differ:Dave.
Quick question.
Next season.
What is more of an achievement in your eyes?
5th or 6th
or
11th and FA Cup semi final?
Do you don't think continuing to develop bond and grow the squad for the rest of the season is worthwhile ?
And you are so miserably down beat you can see no possibility of us catching united or at least having a really good push at it?
Dave you're a legend ... a miserable cut your own throat dibbler of a misery but a legend nonetheless.
Make your mind up, you were calling him fit to burn a couple of weeks ago.Great work from Koeman after a bit if a dip mid season. He's changed formation and personnel to reverse our form. Good management.
QEDI've already said the gelling of new players is important; but the season is a gimme to these players - no pressure = they thrive. Therefore you cant use the remainder of the season to gauge the development of manager or team. Between August and January next season we'll see what we have on out hands here. Personally, I think we'll have a recipe for a solid top half performing team. Some will be happy with that, I and a great many others wont be.
What has to stop here is some creeping dragging down of definition concerning what is acceptable for a PL season. I detect over the past few weeks this numb nuts "Top Six" false ceiling has been created to try and excuse a season's failure to make a challenge. That has to be rejected and rebuffed at every turn. Our expectations cant go from top 4 to top 6/7 just because some wish to stretch out what's acceptable for a manager they have thrown their hand in with.
Top 7 this season is ok.
Top 7 next season is failure.
Not reaching Top 4 by any third season reached should result in a dismissal if we have failed to get 5th.
Anyone not working to that timetable are accepting mediocrity.
