Ronald Koeman discussion

At last we have a manager who has demanded that standards be raised at EFC both on and off the pitch. The feller is a born winner as evidenced by what he has achieved in the game and the lengths he went to in order to achieve it.

He is building an exciting, passionate and energetic team. The penny has final dropped with the players that not trying hard enough will not be accepted, and this has been borne out in recent results. We look organized defensively again, resilient, fitter and hard working. Consequentially the players are putting in better performances and the standard of football is improving by the week.

With the correct level of investment I am quite confident that he can break through the glass ceiling in the coming years and get us in and amongst the CL clubs.

People who portray him as some sort of clueless biff who stumbles on things by accident and seize on his every word to attack him at every opportunity really need to have a word with themselves.

Must be nice to still have a competitive season still though. One step away from a final and playing this weekend in the other cup while we have our fingers up our arses.

They are still managed by the leagues biggest chancer though mate.

Ronald might be able to teach him how to win a few trophies next year. What is it 30 versus 5?

Koeman has introduced nearly as many 'youth' players into the side as Martinez did in his entire tenure...

RM:
Barkley (backed him as a 1st teamer)
Stones
Garbutt
Galloway
Browning

Koeman:
Davies
Lookman
Calvert-Lewin
Holgate

This stupid argument about the youngsters needs to stop.

If they're good enough, they play. End of.

Mentality is a big issue I feel. Look at the likes of Jose Baxter, who had bundles of talent and threw it all away because his mentality wasn't there.

Davies on the other hand seems fairly grounded, I hope Koeman instigates a bit of professionalism in all of our youth players (Barkley included) as for them to push on and develop into the best possible footballers they can hope to be.
