Was there? A season when we won nothing is the supposed pinnacle of what we should be aiming for mate? The 72 point 5th place trophy?

Shame after reaching such giddy heights he followed it with 2 seasons of complete bilge

If he can get his first choice players in that he'd want I agree, solid manager, speaks the truth no matter what and he's Dutch, I love him
 
Loved him as a player and what a player... breathe fresh from the previous...doesn't pull any punches...very knowledgeable and requires the maximum of effort if you pull on a blue jersey...after he was the consummate professional..he requires the same...Kin ell even my son and I enjoy going the game again...great weekend for us ..

13 goals in the last 3 games, only one home loss this season,and playing the best & most efficient attacking football seen at Goodison for a long time. Deffo something to build on with a more solid defence, we look a team at the moment. ;)

Nowhere near a great first season though. Moyes first season after us being relegation candidates so long was much more impressive, and it goes without saying that Martinez's first season was off the charts impressive.

Strategically speaking a EL campaign would be a disaster at this point. Anyone who wants to make progress next season better pray Everton don't qualify. But 5th obviously would be a real step forward after 11th fir two seasons.
