You're starting out from the wrong position. Satisfaction is not the objective. Cause for optimism is what we should be looking for. If we hold this position, which we will or maybe even go one better, then that's a pretty good start and a corner is turned. But it's nothing in and of itself. This manager then has to prove it next season that he's worth all the hype.

That seems fair to me. It's probably not though and I'm being negative again and an army of snides are even now bombarding the mods with complaints about how nasty I am and demanding my removal from the site.
