Yes having fourth best defence in the league is terrible pal
I get your point, but when pointed out we are 4th in the 'pressing of other teams' Koeman wasn't satisfied. 4th best defence is a vast improvement on last season, but can you imagine if we'd had hart and Keane in our defence this season, our defence would be even better. There is always room for improvement. Both of these positions should be a priority come the summer.

The problem is that you dont treat people like something you've trodden in.

Football isn't a feudal order with masters and serfs.
Nor is it a nursery were we need to treat players who aren't meeting the standards we expect as misbehaving children. We expect certain standards at this club and if players aren't meeting those standards I'm happy to see the manager give them stick. If they take the constructive criticism in their stride like most of the side currently have then brilliant, if they can't take it then I'm happy to see losers moved on because they don't belong here. We aren't a charity.

Kevin Campbell was pound for pound our best signing in the last 30 years. It's not even close.

He is before my time so I can't judge. But given goals scored, potential profit, and Potential would be hard pressed to agree based upon what I have read. But would defer to opinions of those having been here longer. I am just a wool Yank after all!

Agree that you should always look to improve in everything in life.
On the flip side though; take out the Chelsea game and Bournemouth goals , we would have conceded 19. Only Spurs/Chelsea conceded less.

I think there is always room for improvement in life but the defence isnt so bad right now. Far from it.

The Campbell signing basically kept us up. That is the reason he is so well remembered, rather than profit, or talent.

Simply, if he didnt pitch up, chances are we would be looking forward to an away at Bristol City on Wednesday night.

Thanks for the history! I've only been following Everton since McBride came on loan. While I know bits and pieces - I certainly don't have the depth that others do

Honestly who gives a toss if niasse was banished to the reserves and then loaned out. He's nowhere near good enough for everton and doesn't deserve a place in the squad. What a poor excuse to slate a man who has turned round a sinking ship. I'm very impressed with koeman. Love his adaptability and his high expectancy when it comes to hard work

Classic Dave. Use one example to form opinion ignoring all the other players he has got the best out of.

No one. And nor does Niasse. He was taking a quater of a million quid out of the clubs coffers every month. He earned £3m between now and last Jan when we signed. Anyone worrying about that is just using it as a stick to beat Koeman with, not that he'll be arsed either.

I hope Niasse scores every week and if he does, we get our money back, hes an utter hound of a player and I dont want such players at this club.

Hulls owners won't be forking out for him. Mark my words, he's basically on a 6 month audition to lower end championship clubs and upper level league one clubs. You can tell by the type of player Koeman has got shut of he knows exactly what he's doing.
