Ronald Koeman discussion

I like that with 1 substitution we can drastically alter our formation from 3 CBs to 2, bringing on another attacker/midfielder as and when we need it.

Alternatively, we can go from 2 CBs to 3 when holding a lead.

When you look at our remaining fixtures I wish our remaining away fixtures where at home
Away: Boro, Spurs, Liverpool, united, West Ham, Swansea, Arsenal
Home: Sunderland, WBA, Hull, Leicester, Burnley, Chelsea, Watford
You never know what might happen but bar the Chelsea game (I'm sure we'll be fired up for this to make up for our performance at Stamford Bridge) most of our home games are very winnable. However it is the opposite away from home, whereby I'm struggling to see wins apart from boro and Swansea. To make top 4 imo we are going to have to win 3 games from Spurs, Liverpool, United and arsenal. Something we haven't done in a season since the mid 80s.

Ronald Koeman to Barcelona: Agent claims La Liga giants want Everton boss
BARCELONA are interested in Everton boss Ronald Koeman, according to the agent of fellow Dutch manager Frank de Boer

Ronald Koeman joined Everton in the summer from Southampton and he has impressed so far this season at Goodison Park.

The Toffees are currently on a seven-game unbeaten run in the Premier League and are just seven points shy of the top four.

And according to Frank de Boer's agent Guido Albers, Koeman is attracting attention from European giants Barcelona.

Koeman played for Barcelona between 1989 and 1995 and was assistant manager there in 1998 until 2000.

Ronald Koeman is a Barcelona legend

He has often appeared to flirt with the idea of a return and now it seems like they are looking at him as well.

Albers was asked about De Boer's future plans after he was sacked by Inter Milan in November.

And while he ruled out a return to Barca for his client, he revealed the La Liga champions are considering Koeman as a replacement for Luis Enrique.

When asked if De Boer would be going back to the Nou Camp, Albers told Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb: "No, I do not think.

Luis Enrique has suggested he could leave Barcelona in the summer
"Frank is a piece of Barcelona history, but I think the club has in mind other technicians.

"Like Ronald Koeman, now at Everton."

Enrique's current deal with Barcelona expires in June and he is yet to agree new terms with the Spanish club.

And speaking to Barca TV in December, the 46-year-old hinted he would be calling time on his spell at the Nou Camp.

"I have no doubt that I'm at the best team, with the best club, with the best players," Enrique said.

"But there is also one thing about this job that is very hard, it costs me a lot and it's a negative that I have to factor in when considering the next few seasons."

Its happening again lads.

Hahahaha.

Fat chance.

There are very few top managers available. Sadly for us barca's recent philosophy is to appoint former players, or managers who have been involved within some capacity at the club, as opposed to 'outsiders'. Enrique didn't exactly have a stellar coaching career prior to being appointed and koeman's CV would on paper look better than Enrique's prior to joining barca. Can't same I'm surprised with this link.

I think he's done a good job in a very short space of time. We all know if Barca came calling he would be on the first plane available!! I personally dont think they will at this time but who knows what the future holds. I think given time RK will do a good job at Everton. I dont actually think we realise how bad of a mess Roberto Martinez had left at Everton. I think RK has cleared it up as best as he can in the time given he's been manager
