We haven't hoofed it in a while now. We've stopped hoofing and found form. Not too many "agricultural, route one" goals last weekend David?

I'd say that was about right. From the beginning of December we've got it down a lot more. Not before time, but we're hopefully getting there on the style front. Nothing wrong with the odd long pass, but we were a long ball team from August to December this season.

Mate, Koeman would never be offered that job. Too much of a culture shock. They tried the big target man upfront stuff with Ibra and it ended in tears.

Not necessarily Barcelona, but there are many teams who would like players of the ilk and stature of Ibra and Lukaku to lead their line. I might be wrong, I think Ibra's unhappy time at barca stemmed from his attitude rather than his ability to fit into their system. The only blemish on a wonderful club and country career.

I agree we were. But to be honest I just want to win. I want us to play it on the deck more because we're a better team when we do. But if our strengths were best served by going long to a 6ft 9 striker and hitting huge diagonals then that wouldn't concern me in the slightest if it got the win.

Has one man changed that - Tom Davies? Look a totally different team with him in the middle of the park, you only have to look at his positive introduction on Saturday.

Blemish only in the sense that it was short lived. He still scored loads of goals for Barca while he was there.

Let's face it, we knew this wasn't going to be a long term thing

Get two seasons out of him and then bring Joagi in after the 2018 World Cup, whilst also getting a nice pay off from Barca to break Ronald out of his contract

Maybe. I dont know the ins and outs of the Messi/Guardiola/Ibra saga, but I think beyond the personality clashes and dented egos Ibra was there as a target man but they neglected him and played him out wide and expected him to do a Henry job. Koeman would not do that and the whole Barca system would have to bend....and break possibly.

Never a serious consideration this.

I think it's helped yes. He's got energy and he distributes well. A good linking player.
