What do you call 6 players chasing two positions (or three at most....then again, four or five might be used given what happened versus Spurs!).

We have 5 players who dont exactly look likely to leave too soon and we're threadbare elsewhere in the team. That's a numb nuts transfer policy right there.

Or we head into the summer window knowing the centre of the pitch is complete and we can prioritise elsewhere? Not sure why squad depth is being slated here.

Why does a stocked midfield position bother you so much? Are their accumulated wages hurting you? Are the bench players' low morale making you cry?

I'm not so hot on our transfer policy either, or the biggest fan of our new boss..... But surely there's a limit to how many times you can keep dressing up the same opinion over and over again. You're in another thread repeating your have a dig at Baines post and another one doing the Where's The Stadium fandango.

3 positions. Again though, why does it matter to you? You just watch the team play of a weekend that's literally all of your involvement.

It's all about trying to make this club better. We have seen resources wasted in this first two transfer windows. Signing Bolasie was like getting £27M and incinerating it. Schneiderlin was never a priority and the Spurs game underlined that in spades.

Because we haven't got the attacking players we so badly need, since Schnides got up to speed we've changed to 433 to fit the CM's in, i agree with your point though that that part of the squad is now sorted and we can focus on getting the players in for the other positions.

Schneiderlin June 2021 - Koeman signing
McCarthy June 2020 - Martinez signing, always injured
Gueye June 2020 - Koeman signing
Besic June 2021 - Martinez signing, always injured
Davies June 2021 - Koeman signing extension, young and not career proven
Barry June 2018 - Koeman signing extension, now seemingly provides cover

Dave, I have issues about certain things RK does/has done, however, on this -
2 of the players in the list, were bought by RM and are basically always injured.
That leaves 4, to cover either 2 or 3 positions.
Davies, as good as he looks, is still relatively unproven, so it made sense for RK to give Barry the extra 1 year extension.
It all seems like common sense dealings?

£10m to get shot of the previous regime after Bill gave him a huge contract is a bigger waste of resources than Bolasie IMO. Especially after what was served up in the two seasons previous to this one
