@davek , Koemans tweeting from the Netherlands. This means he isn't working hard for us.
Yessss, I do love his attitude to this
So Ronny and Lukaku are both in Holland.
Weird.

I feel like I've been told off by my dad ffs.You want to qualify for it, you deal with the consequences if there are to be any.
Teams talk themselves into that myth, and managers use it as an excuse for poor preparation. Koeman will revel in it. We have a fantastic group of youngsters coming through - just look at tonight's result and performance by Unsies lads - our squad is getting better and stronger both ends. Youngsters developing and better calibrate players coming in, plus some dross being turfed out too.Agree with your post but I'm still nervous about the effects of Europa and us having a crap season in the Premier because of it. .

Make no mistake Koeman has this plan sorted and that starts with an assault on the Europa League.
Pack your knapsack JonS....no better fun than a Euro away with Everton. You've convinced me

Surely you mean grandad ..I feel like I've been told off by my dad ffs.
One reason or another? No, just one reason: the manager bottled it.Vault me but I would like to say that I think Koeman's doing an absolutely brilliant job. He's got my fullest support. It's great to see us play with intensity and desire. He's got us organised, everyone knows what they're doing and I love that we're getting results and I'm not having to risk a heart attack every Saturday.
The last two years were so painful and depressing. I'm so looking forward to seeing us play again. I know that there will be games like the one at Spurs where things don't go the way we would like for one reason or another, but RK seems pretty switched on and will learn from his mistakes. Name me one team that doesn't mess up once in a while.
He has a huge thumbs up from me!
RONALD KOEMAN- I have a dream !Oh look, we lose 1 game in 12 to the current second best team in the country and the manager is being hauled over the coals. What a perfect little world some of you bitter little dreamers must live in.
The Spurs game? I agree, as do most on here; we bottled it. But the thing with Koeman is that he appears to be a person who might learn from such mistakes. Of course, we will get evidence toward this (or indeed the contrary) in upcoming away 'big' match ups (specifically Liverpool, Man U and ArsenalOne reason or another? No, just one reason: the manager bottled it.
Did we bottle the game though or were the second best team in the league just better than us on the day? We made mistakes but would another team have took advantage so much of them? I mean whow many team's strikers pick the ball up and shoot from outside the box the same way Kane did to catch Robles out?The Spurs game? I agree, as do most on here; we bottled it. Yeah. Maybe we should finish 8th just to make sure. A good start would be to throw the head to head with Albion
EL qualification is a positive because
1) Can help us attract players in the summer
2) Gives the players and coaches an opportunity to get experience against European opposition before we hopefully qualify for CL.
3) Gives us an opportunity to give some of our younger players first team experience.
4) Gets us used to playing 2 games per week and the disruption that comes with midweek foreign travel.
5) A good run helps with the coefficient rating for when we do qualfy for CL. Pot 3 is decidedly better than pot 4.
6) It exposes the club to a wider catchment area/fan base/player base and just gives us generally more kudos.
7) Gives us another avenue/opportunity to qualify for CL.
8) Increase match day revenues.
9) Gives the boys an opportunity for some days out across Europe.
The only downside is that it will affect our league position. In the short term I have no doubt it will but we have to go through that pain barrier to get where we need to be to progress as a club. The sooner this process starts the better.
I agree. Bottled is too strong. We made mistakes obviously. Koeman made three in my view. Wrong formation, wrong personnel, and too slow to make a change. There were also defensive errors that arguably led to all 3 goals. But despite all that, that game was the hardest of our run in imo and we would have had to play very well to get anything out of the game. I hope Koeman does learn from the game and hope he isn't too defensive going into the away games against RS, United and Arse. I'd like to see a back 3 with 2 holding MFs and probably Tom and Ross playing behind Rom so we can cause them problems on the break.Did we bottle the game though or were the second best team in the league just better than us on the day? I believe that sometimes in football we aren't the best team ever and if we lose a game then it is simply because the other team was better than us. If it was sunderland we lost against then i can understand dwelling on it but no shame in losing to spurs and certainly nothing but lessons to take away from the result
