It's not just Lukaku going but the potential unsettling effect on a good run of form of him announcing he will be going.
Let's hope that RonKoe can hold things together.
Just when you think things are going well - Bloody Everton!![]()
Mate things are going well and will be even better soon. Rom was always gonna be goner.
you are probably right in that way of thinking and i am led to believe that this is meant to be the start of something great for the club. So taking one bad game and one bad result out and over analysing it is fine to do but it creates a negative mentality for us fans when in reality the game was always going to be difficult and wind up essentially with us losing. that is not a pessamistic view, that is on the basis that one team will be finishing top 4 this season with a great group of players and the other the start of a rebuilding process that is not even 12 months old yet.
I just think it is a waste of time to dwell on these sorts of games, we all want to win every game sure but when it doesn't happen i would be more focused on the reaction rather than the result. the reaction this time was a 3-0 win on saturday, perfect.
What will he say on Friday about Lukaku at the pre-match conference?

Forgot about that, cant help but feel the club have accepted ages ago he is going and this is the start of letting us know."It is like I say in November....if he plays his whole career at Everton he will have failed..... but OK, that's football"![]()
Today's news must have been a bit of a kick in the nuts.Hes doing fine.
Hes shed the squad of the dross and hes starting to get good players in, we are hard to beat, picking up wins on the regs, sure the cup exits were a major negative, but ok, this is football. This season was all about getting back to "best of the rest" standing and hopefully getting Europa, Europa is key to everything we want to do, Europa will open up a different bracket of players, not the tier 1s, but the tier 2s we struggled to attract last Summer.
Massive summer coming up for the club, we simply must retain our better players, well, we simply must retain only 1 player, the big man upfront, if we do that, we can kick on, if we cant, well, we are screwed.
My Greek lads have definitely felt that way...Today's news must have been a bit of a kick in the nuts.
