Ronald Koeman discussion

Sorry, we only just lost our lead to a last minute penalty

He was 60 seconds away from his tactics being an unqualified success, with a team rife with injuries

People with agendas need to KOFF

Yeah, I won't excuse him for Spurs or some of the earlier games in our poor run, but I'm not having a go at him for that tonight, no way

This. Will. Take. Time

We are slowly improving

Have some bloody patience and stop being so entitled

Some of our fans seem to think we are Chelsea mate, they forget the last 2 seasons we were barely holding on to 11th now we are 7 points clear in 7th with 4/5 players out injured.

Your right this will take time and atleast 1 more transfer window before Koeman can get players in good enough to have a proper crack at the top 6.

It makes me laugh when we have fans who don't want us in the Europa League or to take the league cup seriously, they really do think it's the 80's still and we are some elite side.

But they didn't even have a shot on target till the pen ?

Fact is if Rom or Ross pick a pass out better we go two nil up. At least four occasions in second half.

That's not true. Ibra through early doors. Blind freekick (early in the 1st half), Herrera shot saved, hit the bar twice, had a goal called offside.

We were parked in our box especially when he subbed Pennington on with 20mins left.

Yes, those two should've picked a pass. But they also set up chances (Ross across the face of goal to Gana, Rom through until Bailey's tackle). There was enough overall to get another...Just like united should've had 5.

When Ross was subbed we had zero pace to help out a knackered Lukaku. DCL just wasn't a right choice. No slant of the player but he's not a counter attack player

Dave with respect you said the season finished on 6th January and there is no pressure till next season .

Now your saying there is and RK bottles big games.

Which is it as you seem to be flapping again from one point to another?
I know mate. I just mentioned that. It is a contradiction and I apologise for that.

The season was and is over, yes. It;s just the nature of that stupid result there tonight that's got me fuming.

None of it makes any difference now like, I know.

The initial post you refer to the final twenty mins mate.

His subs were confusing before that we looked good?

Indeed, Joey.

Taking off Mirallas and sending on a centre back was straight from the Moyes school of subbing.

And much as I am not convinced about Enner Valencia, given what we have seen if him in his limited appearances tonight's situation was made for him and he was a better option than DCL.

(assuming he was on the bench )

Made some poor subs in Barkley and Mirallas, but my word I did not think we would miss Coleman THIS much. I knew we would miss him, but we are a shell of what we were down the right. Holgate is actually a solid passer, but put him in a situation where he needs to stretch the field and he is clueless. This reaffirms my thoughts that Holgate is 100 percent a CB and not a RB. He's good defensively, but we need him to do more.

If he 'did not' then that's a pretty weak point you're making.
Add a comma after 'did' mate.

Apologies for using a confusing double negative - in English I meant that Jinkyali the lunatic has just said that Koeman's next club will likely be Barcelona or Arsenal which contradicted your assertion that not one Evertonian had said that.

Unless you don't believe that he's an Evertonian - personally just thing he's nuts.

Koeman isn't to blame. Although I disagree with his decision to make the sub he made. Last season with Southampton they would have got the crucial second goal to kill off this type of game. Unfortunately our forward players simply lost the ball way too easily and too often

Saints defence under him was better than we have now to keep hold of a lead too.
