Ronald Koeman discussion

I don't think that was such a great performance. I thought we were a bit flimsy and wasteful and definitely didn't see us controlling anything for much of that game. Two sloppy tired laboured teams. I don't want to criticise the players overly as I felt that from very early on they just didn't look up to a second game in a few days. They looked tired and slow even in the first half. However Man U were bang average so it was enough to get a point. Jags had one of those games where he got his head and feet to almost everything but we were easily got at down the wing. Without Schneiderlin, Ganas wee drop in form/energy is a problem.

I thought the subs were odd and pretty bad but I don't really have the will or energy to be peed off or overly critical of the boss because well.....Meh. I don't expect too much from him so I'm not overly surprised to see us still being up and down performance wise. He ain't good enough for me to be excited about but also ain't bad enough for me to be putting the boot in so early.

I do wish both sides of the Koeman is crap/Martinez is crap argument would pipe down a wee bit though.

Made some poor subs in Barkley and Mirallas, but my word I did not think we would miss Coleman THIS much. I knew we would miss him, but we are a shell of what we were down the right. Holgate is actually a solid passer, but put him in a situation where he needs to stretch the field and he is clueless. This reaffirms my thoughts that Holgate is 100 percent a CB and not a RB. He's good defensively, but we need him to do more.

Holgate was absolutely brilliant today mate

Let us not forget this gem from the Martinez thread.

Moshiri hasn't got a 'kin clue mate. He thinks a man who hasn't won a sausage for a decade is a "superstar manager".

I suggest he sticks to doing what he does best: concocting BS deals for stadiums where he leaves us to pay it off for 40 years and he pays f.a. and walks off with a massive profit.

Agree with the second part of your post Dave but I honestly think if Koeman was in charge of one of the top 6 and backed with the players they're backed with he'd be well capable of mounting a title challenge

Its the same usual suspects with their rubbish on Koeman. They cannot accept that he has improved our team and its phasing out the Martinez Syndrome.

Add a comma after 'did' mate.

Apologies for using a confusing double negative - in English I meant that Jinkyali the lunatic has just said that Koeman's next club will likely be Barcelona or Arsenal which contradicted your assertion that not one Evertonian had said that.

Unless you don't believe that he's an Evertonian - personally just thing he's nuts.
*think

??

Indeed, Joey.

Taking off Mirallas and sending on a centre back was straight from the Moyes school of subbing.

And much as I am not convinced about Enner Valencia, given what we have seen if him in his limited appearances tonight's situation was made for him and he was a better option than DCL.

(assuming he was on the bench )

The only reason to bring DCL on I imagine is to see if he is capable at this level.

Win tonight and we finish 7th.
Draw or lose and we finish 7th.

The season is over so I have no problem if Koeman wants to run the rule over Pennington, DCL etc ahead of a big recruitment drive come June.

Most managers would...even Rodgers managed to near win it.
