Oh come on Joey! We got a fair price for Rom...he's a great goalscorer but Lukaku watchers over the years know full well that he is very limited to that one basic(but excellent) talent, and is nowhere near good at everything else. Watch the movement of Auerro, Costa, and a few others and they are vastly superior to Rom. And how would we 'never sell him'? HE STATED THAT HE WANTED TO GO...many times!! Players move on...Spurs sold Bale, United sold Ronaldo,and next Jan or summer the RS will sell Courtinho. Even lower down the leagues, Leeds,despite fighting for promotion,sold Wood,because the money was right and he wanted to go. ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY !!!!
And by fact and reputation, our 'spud gun attack'...DCL,Rooney,Siggy,Klausen, Sandro, has goals aplenty if they get the chances.

That' the spirit Steve, some of these naysayers and doom mongers just have to carry it on and on and on to the point of absolute boredom.

As you point out, Lukaku's gone, let's get on with what we have and have a good season.

He had two years left - other clubs e.g. Swansea would not sell their top goal scorer go on the very last day untill Bony,s transfer was secured !Its just basic business common sense, and 75 million plus mysterious add ons no one knows about in fact it's probably Rooney wages 150 k for two years equals 15 million!
So no it's a poor deal selling our leading goalscorer Young at that price without replacing him!
