That makes no difference, he was had a man on him who let him inside instead of showing him down the flank. It should have been stopped

..when we play 3 CBs, I do think it's a mistake to play your most aerially dominant on the right side. Keane is your main CB so play him there.

Someone has just made the point that maybe what went on with Rooney off the pitch may have got the squads back up. Been awful since.

To be honest mate, we have stunk the place out in every game this season, bar the first half of the hadjuk game. Not a knee jerk reaction, but I am seriously wondering is there something going on behind the scenes.
We all knew it was going to be difficult to replace lukaku's goals, not bringing in a forward was criminal. However that should not be allowed to overshadow, the slow predictable boring, unbalanced football we have had to endure this season. All personnel at the club (Walsh, Koeman, coaching staff and players, who are all on lucrative contracts) need to take a long hard look at themselves and start pulling in the right direction. That is the least we as a fanbase deserve.

I remember that final season under El Fraudo vividly. Going to Goodison every fortnight was a mierable experience, I actually hated going to the match.

Think he's forced to do that because Williams and Jags on either side would get massively exposed for pace where Keane isn't that slow.

And the different formations and roles don't help either - he has played Rooney all over the place since he joined and whilst Wayne is experienced and has at least been trying he has never been very disciplined at holding his position so don't think it helps anyone settle.

This is my biggest problem with Wayne. You come back that deep when you are defending a lead... not when you are trying to help your squad relieve pressure and mount an attack. We only put ourselves under pressure when we play that compact in our own half

Can't understand how koeman has got himself in this position. he's a very experienced manager but seems to have no structure or plan as to how are going to play .even if we had Rom playing or giroud it would make no difference in this formation. Not to sure if he can turn it around the squad seems void of any variety to change things around .Sunderland at home in the cup followed by Bournemouth at home are must wins (Can't believe I'm saying that)
