Our first team lacks a first choice target man at least and Koeman does not play wingers and go for 3 no. 10 with no pace and movement at the same time.
Our back-up are lacking quality. We don't have two good enough teams to do well in both PL and EL.
Was a weird thing to say "the team was not prepared for this tonight" it just makes him look amateurish.
I think he's been let down by the board regarding a striker. But there's absolutely no excuses for the lack of balance to the rest of the squad. He's gone out and spent recklessly on 3 or 4 fellas who play in the same position. No pace in the side whatsoever and the defending is abysmal.
If we (as expected) get another tonking off Utd this weekend then I'd get rid and give it to Unsworth for 5 or 6 games. If he gets them playing again then I'd give him a contract til the end of the season.
I don't think we can afford to keep playing like this given the money that had been spent on the squad this summer.

Because he is trying to find a set of players who will play for him, and as it looks right now - none of them really are.
Looks scarily like the last days of Martinez right now mate, far far worse than the bad run last season which culminated in the Watford debacle, which frankly looks decent after the last two efforts...
He says lacking aggression and lacking passion - both of those a manager can instil in a team tbh.
I'd add we lack pace - we lack a centre forward, we are playing players who are totally unsuited to a position or a system we are seemingly trying to play - none of that can be instilled in a team as the manager has created those problems already through his actions
And the different formations and roles don't help either - he has played Rooney all over the place since he joined and whilst Wayne is experienced and has at least been trying he has never been very disciplined at holding his position so don't think it helps anyone settle.
I thought he meant that they weren't mentally prepared as in something never sunk in, because he went on about how many times they watched clips of that Gomez cutting back in his right foot
