To be honest mate, we have stunk the place out in every game this season, bar the first half of the hadjuk game. Not a knee jerk reaction, but I am seriously wondering is there something going on behind the scenes.
We all knew it was going to be difficult to replace lukaku's goals, not bringing in a forward was criminal. However that should not be allowed to overshadow, the slow predictable boring, unbalanced football we have had to endure this season. All personnel at the club (Walsh, Koeman, coaching staff and players, who are all on lucrative contracts) need to take a long hard look at themselves and start pulling in the right direction. That is the least we as a fanbase deserve.

I agree, something doesn't seem right. A new striker wouldn't have made a difference to this, the football and effort is absolutely substandard.

Can't understand how koeman has got himself in this position. he's a very experienced manager but seems to have no structure or plan as to how are going to play .even if we had Rom playing or giroud it would make no difference in this formation. Not to sure if he can turn it around the squad seems void of any variety to change things around .Sunderland at home in the cup followed by Bournemouth at home are must wins (Can't believe I'm saying that)

I am more pessimistic wheres our next goal coming from???????????????............

Big difference in a team quitting when effectively the seasons final position is already decided etc mate and when it does it early season when everything is to play for.

I agree but it's not a good sign is it in your first season.

..when we play 3 CBs, I do think it's a mistake to play your most aerially dominant on the right side. Keane is your main CB so play him there.

But the whole 3 at the back is a joke when our full backs don't have the energy or skill to play higher up eggs. Criminal not to get competition for Baines and Kenny 100% deserves not just 1 game but told he s getting a run of 3/4 games

Not one to knee jek but that was awful. Expect a hammering on Sunday as surely our low point before it gets better. But then if Bournemouth get nowt this weekend and rock up to Goodison on 0 poits we all just know what will happen. Most worrying is that there is no pattern/ style. Players should pick themselves as Kendall used to say but who actually deserves to play at the moment? Pickford, and then I am struggling. So yes Koeman needs to be put under serious pressue but so do the players.

Think he's forced to do that because Williams and Jags on either side would get massively exposed for pace where Keane isn't that slow.

...Keane looked dreadfully exposed in that first half against Stoke. Perhaps it was because DCL (I think) was in front of him. Some of the selections are bizarre.

Just watched his interview where he states the team was unprepared and it is his fault. He sounds defeated. I'll give it 2 weeks max before he is gone.

If we stick with him then we are in big trouble. Very worried at the minute.

..I honestly think he plays his wing backs primarily as defensive shields. Just saying to @Nymzee that Keane gets exposed on the right side so he plays Holgate there to protect. It is effectively a back 5.

Said in the match thread, we are not playing as a 'team', more a bunch of players put on the field and left to their own devices.

There is no shape or formation, players just roaming where they want and either standing on top of each other or miles apart.

There were 2 points in the game that baffled me. The 1st just before their goal - we had 3 players closing their attacker down leaving acres of space behind them. Another was a point in the second half when Sigurdsson and Rooney were standing 5 yards apart and nearly bumped into each other when when we retrieved the ball and looked for a pass.

We all knew it was going to be a tough start. I think the number of points we have got is realistic total to be honest. However Everton fans at the very least demand pride and passion when playing for the club. I'm at a loss to explain as to why this has been so lacking (Rooney apart, who at least looks as though he cares) in our play since the start of the EL qualifiers.

Your right no sure myself ,there seems more problems appearing with each passing game defensively and creativity and obviously scoring goals

Yes and with Baines offering close to nothing attacking we're certainly a back 5. It's why I find it odd he tries to match formations with the likes of Spurs completely ignoring the fact their full-backs are all athletes.

Agree on the selections though; it's almost like he genuinely doesn't have a clue anymore who to put where. Reminds me of the first time I tried to play chess.
