Ronald Koeman discussion

There plenty of manager that would jump at the chance to take on the Everton job with the squad we have.

This is whats odd to me. Most agreed that our squad improved with this summers spending. Our cutting edge wasn't replaced. But even so, you'd expect that we'd be competitive and tough to beat in games. Not so on the evidence of our last 3 games. Woeful, and no sign of a 'team' starting to develop. Koeman is responsible for the set up and motivation of the team. Worrying.

Rooney should have started centre forward tonight with Sigurdson just behind him.
Like it or not Rooney is the only player capable & experienced enough to hold the ball up , Calvert Lewin aint up to that yet.
No width any team will pour forwards we were exposed all night his subs never worked either no ray of hope anywhere !

Get smashed on Sunday and struggle mid week against a terrible Sunderland and then a poor Bournemouth team who are struggling as well then he surely would be close to going. Losing is one thing but the last 3 performances have been utterly disgraceful.

So do you think if let's say Koeman was sacked and Unsworth was given the job, Barkley would want to stay?. I thought the players we have bought we wouldn't need Barkley but it seems like we need him more than ever.
I have no idea. The Barkley situation is bizarre, as are our performances, and the lack of key signings. Maybe there's a link, maybe not.

I just hope we don't end up in the same situation as last year if Koeman does get the sack at some point (surely won't be soon). It took our players a while to recover mentally from the two years before. Maybe its best to call it quits before it gets out of hand. Let's see how he handles the easier fixtures.

DCL can win a header, run the channels and stretch play which Rooney cant. Its a no win situation, either way sees us limited in one way or another.

I actually rate Tom Davies as one of our best players, he transformed the team at the end of last season.
I think he lost hope as he knew what was coming. Unsworth is apparently furious with the way Koeman has handled the transfer window as well as he isn't giving the impressive youngsters a chance (Kenny, Dowell, etc.). It surely affected Davies mentally this season seeing 3 AM's come in.
