Take a look at these, absolutely atrocious. So easy to beat us just by overloading the flanks because the wingbacks are exposed and have no-one in front of them. Likewise there is a huge overload in midfield in our favour but we could barely string a pass together there? Puzzling stuff.

Majority of our passes came from around this "back 2" and the wingbacks before aimlessly launching it forward to DCL.

Dire this Neiz. Looking like Martinez again but without the attacking threat, they sometimes posed.

Marco Silva's going to sort us though.

Under Martinez you could at least see what we were trying to do and what our tactical approach was (We played some lovely stuff under him at times), absolutely nothing of the sort with Koemoyes here. Very concerning.

I'm very disappointed in tonight's performance, and the start to the season. We are still missing critical pieces for this to be a successful squad but the effort from the players was unacceptable. I'm unhappy with Koeman the most and on multiple issues; however, to sack him would likely cause us to lose more matches than if we don't. To end on a positive, it is encouraging to see our manager accept responsibility for a poor performance; unlike that spineless weasel Martinez.

Martinez would've been all over the character shown in the second half clean sheet.

Seen a few things on twitter where people are referring to Atalanta as the italian west ham. Don't know to much about them but my friend who watches a lot of europa league assures me that they made a very good account of themselves last year (could be winding me up). We all know that we are lacking on the goals front now rom has left but what is going on with the defence? 6 goals this week. One of the first noticeable things Koeman did last year when he came in was sure up the defence and made us look somewhat solid again. Yet all of a sudden we are letting in goals left right and centre. After the way we defended last year and getting keane in on top you would think he could at least be sound in that department but no. Very odd and starting to get a little worried now ...

I was talking to two juve fans in Croatia, they told me no way will we beat them home and away, even they was worried about taking points off them. Still no exscuse to give up and just aimlessly walk around a football pitch.

Lookman has to play against United we need pace and width. Funny thing is no one will be huffing and puffing into the box to collect anything. How is that Boris kid in u23's can he head the ball? Time to bench the dross. Tired sit the bench.

Genuinely cannot decide if I am more disappointed in the result, the flaccid performance on the pitch, the manager , or the remarkable spurters on here naming Koeman's replacement.

I always wondered if RM actually took the trouble of seeing Niasse in action directly before buying him.

I now wonder if RK actually sat down with a pencil and worked out his best 11 when he went on his shopping spree. He missed
out on a new no 9 for whatever reason but the rest of it makes no sense. And it makes no sense to the other players because
everyone is playing crap. Everyone. Morale is down.

How about a winger who can run fast and can kick a ball in the desired direction, Ron? We had no outlet last night. Calvert-Lewin blew one great
pass from Rooney but other than that he was on starvation rations, running the channels to relieve the pressure, jumping for balls with no one to head it to..

45 million for Siggi and he's on 120 -a week over 5 years!! Incredible. And Rooney. And Klarsen. And Sandro. All play in the same way, in the same place.

We all have to club together and buy Ron a whiteboard and a couple of magic markers for Xmas....if he's still here.
