Ronald Koeman discussion

If if turns out that Philip Green was/is involved with the board I think ToffeeTim may well have a point.
I seem to remember Elstone being decidedly slippery at the AGM when asked some difficult questions and also rumours of Bill blocking transfers at the end of the window after the manager publicly stating he needed a striker and LB. Maybe the Board are a little bit to blame methinks.

..but that has not, and will not turn out to be the case will it? Green was a friend of Bills and as such probably invested in Bills shows and gave him 'advice'....its most unlikely that anything illegal took place....the whole of football finance has the appearance of being shady to a degree, in fact the whole of the financial world at the top end is not questioned enough(Barclays directors, etc?) and its probably just as well. But the use of the word 'fraudulent' in Toffeee Tims context is quite simply a false accusation, without evidence. But 'that's football'.

I thought it was the matchgoing fans who were the angriest, but then I've not been the match in ages. :(
Not really mate, I've always found our match going fanbase to actually be quite reasonable and supportive as a rule. Far less reactionary then our online fanbase, it's all down to the anonymity of the internet. If people chatted half the wham posted online to an actual person face to face they'd spend half their life getting laughed at!

That's not to say that we don't have loads of self entitled whoppers going the match cos we do but they're just far less reactionary imo. Look at Martinez, most hated him online long before our fans at the match turned on him in any big way.

The problem with our match support right now is it's a combination of self entitled millennials who want success yesterday and aren't prepared to wait another second for it! These young hipsters don't want to sing at the match because it's beneath them and would rather shout abuse at players, managers, referees and opposition fans because they have underlining anger issues due to the fact that they're basement dwelling vergins. We also have the older fans, misrible arseholes who stopped enjoying going the match decades ago and only go now to escape the eternal prison of their own life! Singing is again a no-no for these guys, they would rather sit in silence only tuting when things go wrong or shaking their head with a knowing nasty little grin as though they could of prevented it!

its going to be difficult today, we are going to see what koeman is made of, I hope he can do it.
up to now he talks a good game lets see some energy and willingness to get forward as a team, it cant be that hard surely.

Fine post sir.

However you missed out the North Face clad Wigs in the St End, who are so off their boxes from their skunk jaunts to the bogs, that they don't really know what's going on

Yeah, my relatives say that as well - they've all got season tickets and they're a lot less negative than the online lot. I can't go due to disability issues, although I am going the Ball tribute.

IMO if we get our form back, most of the people slagging Koeman and calling for his head will give him a tongue bath, just like the RS will with Klopp once they start winning.

No hope for today. I honestly don't see us playing any different from the previous 10 games.

I don't believe he has the conviction to prove to himself that his 3 number 10 won't work. His ego will not allow himself to divert from this horrible game plan. He has to go.
