Ronald Koeman discussion

What we want and what we get are two completely different things. I always thought the transition without Lukaku would be a difficult one - it was made a lot harder in these weeks without a good centre forward and a horrible run of fixtures.

We will get a lot more time in the oppositions half over the coming games. Hopefully that'll result in improved results. I don't think we'll be flying and firing 4/5 past teams but I do think we'll somehow grind out positive results.

Do you honestly think the teams we're due to play against in the next few games are gonna roll over ?.

Our defence is shot to bits, slow, lacks confidence and prone to school boy errors in every game.

No pace or width in midfield and we can't score,

They should be looking forward to playing us.

We've taken over from West Ham as the laughing stock of the league.

Oh sorry mate. I thought we were in the Koeman thread.

Pretty sure Koeman has spouted numerous times that he was addressing the fact we relied heavily on one man scoring (Lukaku) and wanted to change that this season by spreading the responsibility around the squad. Well he's brought in the names he wanted, the goal scoring midfielders and nothing.

We are in the Koeman thread Matty. The point you've made here is odd. Koeman brought in the players he wanted to replace Lukaku' goals. He stated he didn't want a team that was so reliant on one person scoring the vast majority of our goals.

Stop sugar coating this utter mess.

How is it odd? Your moaning saying we look crap we have no focal point to our attack and unless koeman is meant to kidnap signings then that's not his fault. Yes his team selections can be better his tactics need to be and he needs to change things but crying for
Him to be sacked Won't change it.

For me, Koeman has until the international break to right this nonsense. If we can't get results against Sunderland, Bournemouth, Limassol and Burnley at home then he's not the man for the job. This is his squad now, striker or no striker, he signed almost all of them and those he didn't got new contracts on his watch. If he's not turned this around by the 2nd October then he never will and we will need to get shut or risk oblivion.

For sure.

This mantra has been chanted for a fortnight or more now.

Yeah right.

Complacency rules OK

Optimistic

BUT we never looked comfortable at home to Stoke and it could have very easily ended up in a draw.

We never looked comfortable against Ruzemberok or Split either

The only time we looked decent since the season began was that first 40 minutes against City until Walker got sent off.

I understand that there's still plenty of games to go, but we seem to be getting progressively worse as a team each game rather than improving and with a goal difference of -12 in the last 4 games, not scoring even once all those games against the bottom 13 look increasingly harder than at the start of the season

So for all you people who want koeman out. Give me a manager who will come? Not who you want " who will come " and also tell me who's going to score the goals?.....

That is the point in a lot of people wanting him gone mate.

Look at the state of the squad and it's inability to score goals. Missing out on a striker is massive obviously but this team has no pace, width and minimum attacking threat. Combined with an aging slow defence, that sits so deep leaving massive gaps all over the park.

This is a team he has assembled. I hope someone can rectify it. I doubt Ronald can based on what he has put together here and his past managerial record.

There's plenty to moan about mate, and I'm an optimist really.

Koeman's tactics at the start for me were negative, but actually the way it played out we did well.

They won the game because they showed the composure our two most experienced attackers lacked.

He needs to learn what's best and stick to it ( and of course there's loads to moan about lol )

Who's crying for him to be sacked ?

I know it's a team he's assembled
And chasing gylfi like a cat after a fish hasn't helped. But it's the board should be able to get other targets in I E a striker whilst doing that.

Another manager would have the same
Problems as koeman. And there's a huge risk on they can do the job. I can't even think of one serious manager I want

If they don't look any better these next five matches, then I say bring on Big Dunc. At least the press conferences will be entertaining and the likelihood of him punching another manager is worth watching alone.
