Ronald Koeman discussion

3-4-1-2 for me Mikey - I just think it's our best system at this time given the personnel we have - as long as he plays the right players.

i.e.

Pickford

Holgate
Keane
Jagielka (fitness an issue)

Kenny
Davies
Schneiderlin/Gana
Baines

Sigurdsson

Rooney
DCL

Something like that. And tell Wayne to get a grip and stay up top, not drift around. Be a striker. If not, you're out of the side.

That at least gives us some width in Kenny, and energy in midfield and pace in defence in Holgate.

This provided it's not always a super deep back 5 and Rooney stays up front

I can't believe anyone can defend him, we've won two away games since January, can't remember us dominating a full 90 mins, we are atrocious for 45 of most games, we play Zombie football, he's the only manager I havnt heard a song for in 40 years of watching Everton, I have never wanted a manager gone more than him
World War K

This is absolutely baffling to me.

Improved last season. Got us back to the minimum we expect to be, and had a superb home record. Played youngsters and we played some good stuff and returned to Europe.

The start to the season has been really poor. And while if he did go then he'd only have himself to blame, why any fan would advocate wishing their team to lose is beyond me.

He was let down at the end of the window and I think now Moshiri realises this - hence the backing. It showed how much we needed a few more players in, and Walsh and the board ultimately have a lot to answer for in that regard.

Koeman himself has a lot to answer for as he doesn't seem to have a 'plan' as of yet, and if that doesn't improve then he'll go.

But to want the team to lose. Nah mate, do one on that.

Agree Toff that we were really good last season, and we did have a great home record, but a few issues were already showing up with Koeman in regards to our terrible away record.

Results wise we were good last season, the football wasnt particularly impressive in terms of style though even though we did score a fair few goals... hence why I was cryassing about Koeman after only a couple or so months of him being in charge. He likes ugly football, you’d never think he was an ex Barca player looking at how his teams play.

So we are in a terrible run, his job under threat and he goes off on holiday to Barcelona. Just about sums up his commitment to the job from day one. That has to translate to the players, if your boss can't be bothered putting a shift in why should the players? Why we haven't sacked him is beyond me.
Big surprise. Koeman's making it so very blatant that he's only here for the money.

People keep saying the board let him down. I don't see how.

Our record transfer before he signed was £28m. Koeman, in just over a year, has signed 4 players who have equalled/broken that. Bolasie, Pickford Keane and Sigurdsson. These are players Koeman wanted. We went out and bought them.

On top of that, he spent similar amounts on another 2 players in Schneiderlin and Klaassen. Those 6 players have cost us close to £185m.

Put it into perspective, Martinez, who gets slagged off to this day, spent roughly £90m, almost £100m less, on all of his signings, across 3 years, but no one says the board let him down.

He has been backed more than any manager we have ever had, based it seems on his reputation as a player, and the money was obviously there to spend on whatever acquisitions he wanted. He chose to buy 4 number 10s and Cuco Martina.

If things continue the way they have been, then the Board will have every right to question him.

How many games has he got? Considering Brighton is the only one I can see us having a chance of winning in the next five, how bad does it have to get? I want him to turn it around but he doesn't seem invested. It wouldn't surprise me if he walked away if we go out of EL and are still scratching around in the depths of the league table come November.
