Ronald Koeman discussion

Sorry, I wasn't sure in which topic to put this...

I am not a fan of "change the manager". But that's quite reasonable now.
Leicester board have more ambition then ours? I don't think they are right with changing the coaches like they did, but ok ("ok", Ronald), the modern football is very different. You need to react quick if you have any ambition.
I would like football to stuck in the past. But it's impossible now, even Sir Alex Fergusson, in modern football he won't get this years to build a team. So he won't win all his premier league trophies and 2 champions league as well. We know that.
Unfortunately in 2017 it's all different. Football is a cruel game. And in this cruel game if you don't have a result, you need to change the manager. Especially if this manager is earns about £10 mil per year and he is in the Top 10 World managers in terms of the payments.
We are Everton. I am sorry. We are not Southampton..... And that was the only club where he did well.
I don't like to change managers. That's not our way. But.... Not now. We all can see that he lost the plot.
I am not even talking about his transfer policy with buying four (4!!!) number 10 (Rooney, Gilfy, Klassen and Vlasic, yes Vlasic!).
I understand that our board had let him down, not buying the striker and the centre-half.
But is that en excuse for our poor game for the 3 month now?
Koeman still doesn't know his best 11 and doesn't know his best tactics.
I am sorry. But his time has come.
We are out of Europe, we will be out of League Cup (and I am going this game!!!) and we gonna lose to Arsenal on Sunday.... So, no trophies and the relegation battle after such a promising summer.
I don't know, I don't get this "the only unexpected lose was against Burnley". I am sure nearly all of you will agree with me.
We are Everton. We cant except this.
How about Nil Satis Nisi Optimum?????
I know, Unsworth, Ferguson or Stubbs are not good enough in terms of experience in the Premier League.
But what I know, is that every one of them will die for Everton (not Koeman, who seen this as a "project"). And with them in charge we will have Kenny instead of Martina, just for example.

That bit is the saddest bit for me. With Martinez, for all his faults, we stopped hearing things like that come out from the club. The old knife to a gun fight stuff was a thing of the past. Fair enough he was completely deluded by the end but there was a time when the positivity around the club was infectious, it is the best memory I have of Everton. Things were so positive it felt like we had actually turned the corner.

I think a lot of the unsworth in views also have something to do with that. He's done an outright fantastic job with the youngsters but his comments that they go into every game playing to win are exactly right and ring true with any blue. Add in the fact he is a blue and he absolutely gets this club he should be next in line should koeman be out the door before seasons end imo. He would be someone who can galvanise the club completely as soon as he comes in. Even if it's just on a temporary basis till the end of the season he's worth a shot.

Well said mate.;)

This was before the Lyon match so the comments are even more true now.But here the comments of Paul McCallister in the red rags Everton fans jury section.

Sunday's performance against Brighton was painful viewing. Yet again the team lacked leaders, bravery, inspiration and most obviously, direction.

The players look like lost children on the pitch and the supporters have well and truly had enough.

Someone must take responsibility for this shambles and it shouldn't just be Ronald Koeman. Who on earth allowed for us to pass the transfer deadline without signing a replacement striker?

It's a decision that looks even more bewildering with each passing day. It's only October but already we're all counting the days until January and hoping something from this season can be salvaged.

The people at the club in charge of negotiating transfers need to be turfed out, no ifs or buts. As for the manager, it's safe to say his race is run and he increasingly looks as if he himself knows it.

Koeman is not getting anywhere near what he should be out of players like Sigurdsson and Schneiderlin while refusing to give hungry youngsters more than the odd five-minute cameo.

For one of the highest paid managers in the league he's failed massively and he doesn't deserve any more time.

I have a ticket for the game against Lyon but I don't even want to go because I fear another thrashing.

I never thought I'd not want to go watch the Blues play in Europe against a big name on the continent but that's how disillusioned I've become personally.

Despite his backing of the manager a few weeks ago sincerely hope Mr Moshiri has a shortlist of potential replacements on his desk. The sooner the axe falls the better.

he needs to go asap. It's annoying because we've got the good young players coming through (vlasic, Sandro, lookman, Davies etc) and with proper coaching and proper man management we could build a side for years to come.
