Ronald Koeman discussion

I dont think even our lackadaisical board can support him after this latest embarrassment and humiliation. They are facing massive losses, unrest and backlash as it is. I think he will be gone by tomorrow and probably in the morning.

You'd think someone would have told him to stop this by now, wouldn't you? It's a dreadful tweet but there's absolutely nothing he could write here that wouldn't encourage abuse.

You know he's not bothered mate, if he's sacked he walks away with 7 mill big ones.

Ever wonder why sacked managers never really seem to bothered.

Your financially better off getting sacked and picking up a new role a couple of months later.

It’s the board that is the problem.

Is this compensation package published anywhere? It's just that I've seen different figures mentioned and surely this board wouldn't make a similar mistake after what happened with Bob BS.

Well I'll do the interview if I'm paid 6m a year, and you can throw some rotten egg at my face and I'll still smile at you.
The only thing I'm thinking is he has more time, because if he was going to be sacked it would have been much better to not let him do the press conference. Him not doing would have sent the message out, worryingly it looks like he could get another game in charge, I hope I'm wrong.

I’m really disappointed in the way Koeman has turned out. Last season, I thought we finally had a Manager worthy enough to take us to the next level and kick the ‘plucky Everton’ tag in to touch.

I remember talking to my Dad about him last season when he subbed Barkley early and it changed the game - we were both heartened by what appeared to be a more ruthless, win at all costs approach. Turns out that was a false dawn.

No doubt, the board have let Koeman down by not recruiting a proper striker, but for me, a more capable Manager would’ve been able to limit that board-inflicted damage, rather than compound it.

I personally never thought that. The guy just isn't that good enough manager to deal with players, egos, and be tactically clever to make that next step.

It's a stain on his CV. Fancy a club with finances looking at Ronny now after he's spent the amount of money he has, and got sacked?

No. He's basically Tony Pulis with a Dutch accent. I like Pulis too, doesn't get enough credit, but no one would ever say he'd take a team to the top 4.
