Ronald Koeman discussion

No. I just refuse to panic and stress out about pretty meaningless things.

Is it meaningless though? The first job of a manager along with the board is to sell a dream and install pride and passion into the club. Tell players where we are heading we can fulfil their ambitions. (Even if it's BS)

How do potential sponsors take this? Our board turn up for negotiations saying we deserve big club money as we will be challenging the top four and trophies over the next year, they can turn around and say well you are struggling to keep hold of your best players and even the manager said there are bigger clubs out there. It doesn't look good.

So in my humble opinion even some truthful words can cause damage. It just reinforces why the sky generation were discussing how Southampton are a bigger club than Everton.

Shocking how some people can't handle a bit of honesty.

Narcissism to the extreme. Did mummy tell you all how special you are every night before you soiled yourself in your sleep?

Oh sorry - Words to that effect, then.

Obviously koeman doesn't have enough faith in his own abilities, nor in the club. We're so grateful to have him, though.

i don't think we should be grateful to have him. i'm not saying anything to that effect.

I'm saying there's nothing wrong with telling it how it is. He's acknowledged that if Rom ever wants to fulfil his full potential, he will be playing for a Barca, Real etc further down the line.

"Everton is not the end for Lukaku"

No, course he hasn't mate...

"Romelu will not have made the most of his career if he plays for Everton for the remainder of his career. He has the potential to play for a bigger club than Everton"

Imagine the fume among the Kopites happen Brent had said that about Suarez.

On certain occasions one has to tip one's hat to them.

That is a deplorable statement from Koeman.

I'm sure he does want the best for the club, even if that is only to better his own career.

He hasn't said Lukaku is leaving. He's said that if Rom fulfills his potential he'll be playing for the big clubs (as in Barca, Real etc)

He said lukaku has more potential than Everton .... so much for nobody is bigger than the club.
