Ronald Koeman discussion

Coco the clown takes us to 13th, we sell the "best CB in world football" to fund our summer transfers and people demanding the manager be sacked cos we sit in 8th place, it makes me very sad.

When did we become sack em merchants?
The day Unsworth won a meaningless game.

The lemmings think any other manager that takes the helm should be sacked after 6 months :(

I dont watch Everton for pretty football, Everton is not entertainment to me, its not a hobby I enjoy, its much more than that, the only thing that matters to me is them winning.

do you have the same opinion on football in general?

i thought when it came to Everton and Ireland id be the same but Moyes and Trapattoni really proved me wrong. there was a lot of games won under them that I gained very little enjoyment out of, because the overall future seems so grim with such dull football that one win was never much of a tonic for it. if we are going to be unsuccessful, it would be nice to be decent to watch whilst doing it.

having said that I am aware that if we won the league I wouldnt be reflecting much on how we did it whilst celebrating

Oh yes the strung a few passes together last season all right but it was all around the back and hardly ever went anywhere. They played horribly in a system which they were very familiar with so asking them to try and play another way was probably far to much for this gang of no-marks to handle.
A bit unfair, some of our attacking play last season was excellent.

Other football is entertainment, so of course I want a good game, but I dont care how 1 team plays, as long as its exciting.

With Everton only the result matters.

Who should we of brought in to be our manager mate? Jose Mourinho or Pep Guardiola? He's the best we could get.

football fans are too fond of stating everything as black and white. That is not as much of a fact as you seem to think.

the world of football is full of managers at various stages of their careers and with cv's full of successes and failures like Koeman. Maybe you are thinking only of high profile choices? Look at Pochettino and where he was in his career when Southampton picked him up. Nothing special really. And now look at him. I think you are only thinking of obvious choices. I would prefer the club to be more indepth than that when it comes to staff recruitment.

"We deserved a point, it's a fair result," he (Koeman) told BBC Sport. "Maybe United had more ball possession but didn't create chances in the first half. We showed belief and commitment at 1-0 down and the least we deserved was a point.

"The performance was better than last week. We are strong, physically good to fight to the last second and it was well deserved."

He added to Sky Sports: "I think the whole team performance was positive. From the start of the game we showed good organisation, we made it difficult for United to create something.

"The boys showed great belief in the second half and one point is really the minimum we deserve from this game.

"At 1-0 down we took a risk with the substitutes, ending with four strikers, but we made it difficult. De Gea had maybe one or two unbelievable saves. It's the right result."

we kept it tight apart from Stek's mistake and I think that is what Koeman would be pleased with, considering Man Utd have been creating lots of chances in recent games. The first-half was 50-50, it was tight, much more compact than against Southampton. We need to now go and beat Watford.

I'm prepared to give Koeman a chance and I appreciate that a lot of problems have been inherited by Martinez' time at the club, but the quality of football on show and his tactics are unacceptable at the moment. I'm usually one of the more positive posters on here, but i'm so bored going to Goodison these days. Having said that, I thought Man United were equally as poor. We were truly awful once again for a good 65-70 minutes today though and it's not good enough.
