Ronald Koeman discussion

Moyes was here 11 years and qualified for Europe in 4 of them.

Basically no money? No. Everton's funding with Moyes (whilst never in the league of the big spenders) was above average in the PL until the roof fell in on Everton's debt after 2009. He spent a fair few quid in relation to others who were looking to grab a European spot off the top table.

Moyes had about £1.2m net per season. Was that above average in PL? Doubt it. Where did you get your figures from?

Well that is not the point. Koeman does not rate Kone so he just won't play. And to play a striker who can't score is plain silly.
Koeman needs to stop being so stubborn on certain players that he had probably hardly seen, it's causing us problems, such as not giving Joel a chance when Steklenberg is clearly rubbish and way out of his depth .

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Kone is great but when it is clear what Koeman is trying is not even close to working he had to wipe the slate clean and start again on his squad choices

The funny thing is Kone's hold up play is actually quite good, that's about it though.

Moyes had a net spend every season between his first full season in 2002/03 to season 2008/09 (with the exception of season 2004/05 when Rooney was sold). In that period he had a net spend of £36M.

Dave you can't just take the figures you like to suit your argument. Why didn't you take figures from 2009-2013? Just because you cannot deny Moyes had a net spend of £1.2m per season during his regime here?

Because those are the years we qualified for Europe under Moyes in...and that's the subject matter being discussed!

He had money to spend during the seasons he qualified us. It's as simple as that.

No....it seems we are to be allotted an extra place in the EL next season.

So if the two cups are won by teams in the top seven then the 8th placed team will take a spot

However......if Hull were to win the EFL Cup and say, Sunderland the F.A. Cup, then only the 5th and 6th placed teams would go forward.
Cheers...I was not aware of the extra place allotted.

£36m/7 seasons roughly £5m per season net between 2002-2009 was that above average in PL? Seriously?
