Ronald Koeman discussion

£36m/7 seasons roughly £5m per season net between 2002-2009 was that above average in PL? Seriously?

Outside of the usual big spenders? Yes. Probably a team like Stoke with that backer of theirs put up more, but Moyes had the drop on most other teams over that period.

He wasnt bankrolled for success, but neither was he starved of funds. Let's have it right. He smashed the club record transfer fee about 3 or 4 times.

This is the issue. You did say Moyes had above average net in PL right? Which was not true.

The fact is Moyes done far better than say people like Martinez. Martinez had £16m net per season. I deem £16m net per season is what you call an average PL net.

Just to help you along, in Moyes time at the club he had the 13th highest NET spend in the league and constantly got us finishing from 4th-8th.

Oh dont you worry, I did it all years ago, now im off to watch The Walking Dead with the missus, be back in an hour or so, dont let David bully you.

For the record, we had the 11th highest wage bill in the league, in case he starts with that.

Under Martinez we had the 7th.

Is Glenn still alive? I haven't watched the new season yet.

I know. Such a shock that Moyes finally broke our 1996 transfer record fee of £5.75 million for Nick Barmby with James Beattie for £6 million in 2005.

£0.25 million in nearly a decade. Bank of England club

Remember when we went over 12 months without actually signing anyone. But he had money to spend apparently
He did have money to spend, he admitted that himself several times, people's who try to make out Kenwright gave him nothing in certain windows were always way off the mark. Spending nothing and having nothing to spend are separate things

I aint having you lying David.

Moyes 13m over 11 years - Best of the rest
Martinez 50m over 3 years - Bottom half bandits
Koeman 0m over 6months - Best of the rest.
Moyes spent £36M net between 2002 and 2009 - FACT.
Martinez had a negative net spend of £15M n the season he took us to 5th and smashed the club PL popints record by 7 points.
Koeman has bought a good one in Gueye, half decent in Williams, and wasted about £30M on the others he brought in so far.
