Ronald Koeman discussion

We clearly looked better in the last 2 games when we played 2 up front. RK surely must now start with Lu and Valencia against Arsenal.

Two up front with the opposition happy to sit back.

Start a game 4 4 2 with Gareth Barry in the middle and two out and out wingers is just asking for us to be torn apart.

The players are either unable to play to the system or tactics that the manager wants or they just don't believe in what the manager wants to do.

They just don't look bothered and have no ideas. Lost count of the amount of long balls we played today. Watford struggle against teams who play it on the deck and have conceded the most fouls this season.

They are a big team so Everton turn up and play it long all game. Beggars belief.

Yrs
Yeah the players need to take blame too. I'm not saying Koeman is the only problem, but I'm finding it difficult to like him tbh. His apparent apathy is a concern[/QUOTe
Yes mate. All round it isn't good enough for sure.Koeman isn't looking like a man who has their backing. And they're proving it tenfold!

Set up a negative defensive team and got punished.

No doubt he won't blame that or the hoofball tactics but certain players not "pressing" or some guff.

I never thought I'd be saying this about a manager after just a couple of months, but i honestly think we should be seriously considering sacking him.

Both performances and results are relegation standard, and I'm struggling to see any evidence that things are going to improve. No excuses anymore, I didn't expect him to come in and win us the league, but there has literally been no improvement at all since he took over. That simply isn't acceptable.

The fact that he delayed signing his contact with us as he would rather go on holiday for two weeks should have kind of told us something.

Worrying he doesn't look arsed. However it's slowly getting to the point where it's starting to damage his reputation as well as the club.

I still have faith though, not really his team and he needs a couple of transfer windows.

Ponder on that.

I wonder when wax the last time we had such a paltry return over a ten game period.

Mike Walker era?

Though I seem to recall a run during Kendall III or Walter when we went six games in a row without scoring.

Personally I think 6 months of training anybody should have you playing how you want, I'm not buying it. Why aren't they playing how he wants? He sees them in training everyday, he drills them, he holds meetings. So why has he not got his message over. I'm not having that the players are that bad, BS.

this is a much more talented squad than the soton ones he's been managing the last two years. we should be better than what he did there, but this is utterly dire. It's boring, slow, no fight. My main gripe with him is he brings a massive air of negativity in everything he portrays. I'm not saying sack him etc. I like the honesty, but he's gone past that and is just negative about everything. The way he slumps in the chair and just mutters things instead of being active and showing his actual disgust. It's like he's doing it on purpose just so he'll get more money to spend in january. At the start of the season his tactics won us games, it's like he accumulated enough points to know we wouldn't go down and then just started making baffling changes and putting half the squad down.

He won't last the season, IF we get bummed as bad as i reckon we will before christmas then it will also be a nice convenient excuse for the board not to spend (managerial uncertainty is always a nice reason to keep the wallet shut innit)
