Ronald Koeman discussion

I agree he seems terrible but I have these memories of other managers (HK, SAF) that had terrible starts and then turned it around big-time.

I'd only get rid of him this season if we are in danger of relegation but if he offered to leave without us having to pay compensation I'd take it in a shot...

I never thought I'd be saying this about a manager after just a couple of months, but i honestly think we should be seriously considering sacking him.

Both performances and results are relegation standard, and I'm struggling to see any evidence that things are going to improve. No excuses anymore, I didn't expect him to come in and win us the league, but there has literally been no improvement at all since he took over. That simply isn't acceptable.

The performances and results are 9th place in the league standard. Bad run of form absolutely? Give him a chance to turn it around.

7 points from the last 30 available.

Ponder on that.

I wonder when wax the last time we had such a paltry return over a ten game period.

Mike Walker era?

Though I seem to recall a run during Kendall III or Walter when we went six games in a row without scoring.

could have been 5 points and 5 losses in a row.

this is a much more talented squad than the soton ones he's been managing the last two years. we should be better than what he did there, but this is utterly dire. It's boring, slow, no fight. My main gripe with him is he brings a massive air of negativity in everything he portrays. I'm not saying sack him etc. I like the honesty, but he's gone past that and is just negative about everything. The way he slumps in the chair and just mutters things instead of being active and showing his actual disgust. It's like he's doing it on purpose just so he'll get more money to spend in january. At the start of the season his tactics won us games, it's like he accumulated enough points to know we wouldn't go down and then just started making baffling changes and putting half the squad down.

It genuinely isn't, it's a rancid squad in absolutely every department.

First sentence is so so wrong.

We just conceded 3 to Watford.

But you genuinely think 4 4 2 is the answer with the current set of players?

Playing a more offensive minded midfielder is an idea I can get behind. Throwing another fella up top for the sake of it makes no sense in my mind.

Not a chance in hell of that. He came to us for the money remember.

I have to say this does seem like the Valencia version of Koeman we are getting.

Surely he should at least roll the dice for his own sake with two up front on Tuesday.

Going into dangerous territory if he thinks he is immune to scrutiny and pressure, particularly with the derby coming up.

As it stands, aside from Tuesday, that couldn't have come at a more inopportune time for him.

I am beginning to wonder what fate has in store for Koeman at Everton.

Blame the players all we want(and I do) but the manager needs to get a tune out of the instrument he has been given. He had a fresh start with this group of players and initially it seemed like it was going to work.

Things have about turned very very quickly though and these players look like they did in Martinez last few months, that tells me they do not trust this manager.

It's impossible to change all 25 of your squad so it fall on the manager rightly or wrongly. He is deserving of every bit of criticism coming his way because at present under his leadership we are toothless and terrible.

By continuing to pick the same players and systems he has to shoulder a lot of the blame. We are as entertainin as songs of praise. And don't look like it means much either.
Our current rate of decline reminds of what happened at Aston villa
