Ronald Koeman discussion

It's not so much that we're 9th, and have won 1 in 11.
It's that we haven't produced a convincing performance where we've played anything resembling decent footy all game.
We aren't playing to the strengths of our current players, nor are we showing anything other than hoofball.

Yes the players are too old and bottlers, or simply not good enough, but Koeman hasn't shown me anything to be positive about when it comes to his management.
Call me concerned.

Thing is though - what are the strengths of these players? They're awful.

Ponder on that.

I wonder when wax the last time we had such a paltry return over a ten game period.

Mike Walker era?

Though I seem to recall a run during Kendall III or Walter when we went six games in a row without scoring.

The Walker era, for me.

We beat QPR at home in the first week of November, that was our first win I think.

I remember Gary Ablett RIP being interviewed after and he was far more embarrassed than relieved.

I just thank God for Big Joe at that time, you could see the difference 10 minutes into the derby.

Our unbeaten home "form" is barely a saving grace at present, but I'm very concerned at the run of games to come.

If we're at 1 win in 15 or worse then I don't care what the mitigating circumstances are, at this level of football, there isn't any manager who doesn't have serious questions to answer after that.

Not that I think the players are any better, but that's another argument.

Same old muck as last year. Sideways passing and no urgency at all until right at the end. ... Needs to change the way we are playing. Valencia needs a run in the team as we look better with him on ... He will create as well ... Need to get this sorted and quickly

Ross, Kev, Del, all ball players best when the ball is played on the ground.
Lump it up to Lukaku and pray he can control it isn't the most effective way of getting the best of these players.
They may not be good enough, and there's massive questions about the teams mentality, but they're the players we've got, at least till January.
