Ronald Koeman discussion

Holgate was part of a winning side at the start of the season too. Madness how he overlooks him

I've never understood why you would change a winning side, except maybe in totally blatant situations where some unknown kid had to replace Messi and then Messi was fit again, etc.

It seems like in a bygone age now but many seasons ago, like in the 80's, when a player got injured and someone came in instead of him and did well, generally the replacement would get a sustained run in the team for that very reason. Players would come out of nowhere to make it big, it helps in having a capable, larger squad. But if you constantly bench these 'replacements' despite them playing well, you are going to stunt their development and it won't be long before they are seeking pastures new.

Granted, it didn't always happen but in the better teams it seemed to work and given our current malaise I can't see how playing a seemingly talented (as we haven't seen enough of him in the first team) kid like Davies who is going to try is going to be any worse than playing these first-teamers who feel that assured of their places they think (and are allowed to) saunter around throwing their hands in the air and blaming everyone else for the woes they have helped create.

It doesn't matter who we have as manager with this despicable group of cowards playing for us. We can get rid of Koeman and bring someone else in but results and performances will continue to be awful until we get rid of nearly everyone in the squad.

he will stay, and I agree he should be given time unless we plummet down the table.......but I don't like the idea that our much needed squad overhaul will be overseen by him. Hopefully, even though they wont sack him, his superiors will lessen his input in the overall transfer strategy haven seen enough to suggest there is a reasonable chance they might have to replace the boss sooner than thought.

No mate, they're relegation standard. Carry on playing and picking up points like we have for the last 3 months over the next 3 months and we'll be in the relegation zone in march.

We won't be going down, so don't worry. Last season was a lot worse and we survived comfortably.

He has not got a clue.
Keeps doing the definition of insanity with his starting formation.
I hope there's a performance clause in his contract because his days are numbered.
Kneejerk?...no. the writing is on the wall. He has crap players, yes, but he is not the man to manage Everton

Massively beyond him to try anything different. So out of his depth it's unreal. Can't wait to see the players targeted in January to play 'his way'.

On that note, he came in to a Southampton side that had been gutted. I don't remember him claiming that there he needed to change everything in order to get a result.
