Ancelotti is a world class manager. Very few of them in world football. It's madness to turn our noses up imo.

..you might be right, Tim. It’s a major decision for the hierarchy to make. Get a player wrong and you drop him, get a manager wrong and its critical. Ancelotti wouldn’t be for me but I genuinely wouldn’t know who to pursue. I really liked what Silva did at Hull, they were a basket case yet he gave them a chance of escaping. I can’t see him being available.

Benitez has done a fantastic job at Newcastle. His side lack individual quality but he has made them hard to beat and they pick up points. His family still live locally but it’s doubtful the Goodison faithful would want somebody with his background.

I just don’t know.

I like to see managers given a chance, but without any green shoots in the last dozen games he had to go. Let's hope the next appointment isn't rushed.

This season is pretty much gone. If it takes until summer to get who we want, then so be it.

What a shame. He did well on first season, losing a striker like Lukaku is hard to replace, so many new players to gel, tough fixture. Expect a bad start but not so bad. I hope we are not curse with second season syndrome.

I cannot have sympathy with him when he stated back in October that Lukaku would have wasted his career if he stayed at Everton.
