Ronald Koeman Sacked

Didn't say that but I think he signed off on it.

How would that conversation go,

Board: Ronald the board have a bit of a dilemma we are not sure should we sell your 25 plus striker last season or not without a replacement , it’s up to you?

Koeman: Sell

It’s beyond irrational really.

I think he was kept in the loop, but pretty sure he had no Input into the decision making around the dynamics of 5he deal.

My own opinion is there is a fundamental problem at board level, all evidence points to it, sacking Koeman is wallpapering over the cracks and scapegoating.

You can’t really think he was acting with full autonomy, that like next level denial or avoidance at best (I hope).

I think it's pretty clear that your opinion about Koeman is completely wrong so we'll have to agree to differ.

I love Giroud and he certainly would have made a difference but considering the other players purchased I think we still would have struggled going forward due to a lack of pace. He is also is 31 years old and would have cost the best part of £30m
Exactly, we lack pace as it is with DCL playing god knows what we would have been like with him up there. Begs the question though, WHY NO PLAN B?

We dont lack pacey players, we have loads of them, we lack a focal point in attack, for all DCLs qualities hes 20 years old and cant lead the line, Rooney drops deeper on the pitch every second, a focal point up top would have given us a base to work off allowing us to move the ball at pace as a fluid unit.

Ok nmate, I didnt say Koeman wasnt culpable to a degree but there are more fundamental problems at Everton then the manager, its smoke and mirrors and thinking all the problems are over is a bit simplistic and naive mate, no offence intended.

As I've said before there's a cancer at the heart of this club ,and until it's removed our long term decline will continue unabated.

None taken but let's be clear the problems aren't all over by any means and I never said they were.

The giroud excuse is still ridiculous.... Not only were we losing Lukaku, but we also offloaded Kone, and had planned to sell niasse too.... So really we should have been bringing in 2 or 3 strikers......

Koeman should have pushed the board hard for a striker ahead of the Rooney, Klaassen & Sandro deals (siggurdson deal was too expensive to not then have him as our number 10)...

There was strikers available in the summer even if it wasn't a top replacement for Lukaku.... Signing no strikers could get us relegated.... If this was Walsh's fault, he should be sacked too...

I honestly still think he thought he had enough firepower with Klassen, Sigurdsson, Rooney, and Sandro.

He then panicked by the end of pre season.

Like you say, it's insane to go into a season with just the one striker after offloading every one we had. We were already light with just Lukaku.

It begs the question what big brain sanctioned the Lukaku deal, without Giroud signed. They need to be paraded at Goddison Park next home game with one of those pointy hats with a d on and a sign around their “unclean” on it.

They all agreed to pull the plug on any other deals after Giroud fell through. Koeman even admitted that.

Irresponsible too. He wrecked this season. There is no getting away from that, even if he's trying to persuade all his Dutch audience that he was undermined. He wasn't. He just plain failed because he's an arrogant and clueless manager...as his CV underlines.

Koeman was a dud of a manager. But to be fair that other dud Steve Walsh, didn't do him any favours either.Walsh should have been dumped out on his ass, along with Koeman imo.
