Well my god! Rooney signs a new 5 year contract at Man U.

Now my respect for that lad has well and truly gone. Even if he didn't go to Everton, he's basically spat his dummy and got what he wanted. Shocking.

I think it was a shrewd piece of act by SAF.

Look at the timing of his statement... before an important match, putting the responsibility of a failure on Rooney's shoulders. Then, the team wins without Rooney and the lad finds himself at fault with the fans. He comes to the press to talk about the lack of investment in the team and all the bollocks we all know.

SAF has put Rooney under pressure.

And, by keeping him he has spent less than if he had to sign a replacement.
