Look mate the one's who really care about Man U, the one's who are as you put it ultra-loyal shouldn't give a rats arse if Rooney wanted to leave because they know what happens at Man U and how they will find another star.

It's the ones who stamp their feet, act like children outside of his house and daub offensive grafitti around the city. Or the one's who I have heard this week on TalkSport kicking off about Rooney not showing loyalty and that he's basically a scumbag. Those same people will now pretend that they didn't rip his posters down or spend hours ****ging him off on football forums.

That's what I mean. Those fans are the fans who need success to be a football fan, not the United fans who just need United to be a football fan.

i`m not a media-friendly type so i missed all the kick offs about graffiti and any stuff outside his house so if i badly missed the point i apologise. seems like he galvanises opinion like no other, and everyone and their dog calling him a thick scally etc which is far from the truth but loads of people like to vent their spleen. the boy is a boss footballer end of - who cares about the other crap

I was just saying that there are an awful lot of Man U fans who are not hardcore fans, they are tourists, arm chair fans, sky supporters, glory hunters, Man U are a trinket to add to a Radley Bag and DK Shoes.
