Rooney Won't Sign

It's always a shock when your star player comes out and say he wants out.

It's even shockier when this happens at a club like Man Utd, after Ronaldo's departure.

Nevertheless, I think SAF will be able to build a very good team once again. That's what he's been doing all his life.

Rooney, on the other hand, will have a difficult life if he switches to City. I can't see that happen. But you never know. If he goes to City, I think that will be the wrong thing to do.

He has no reason for such an act and I still think City are no match to Utd.

I like to think that Wayne, being one of us even if he does work for some other club, will have a chuckle to himself that he has gone to City from Utd. Make no mistake, he'll go there and he'll help them finish above Utd.

And whatever anyone says about him, the money the club got for Wayne helped start building the team we now have, and by moving on again he will generate more money for the club due to the sell-on clause. I'd like to think he is aware of that.

Agree on the money issue.

We would be in deeper sh.i.te if it wasn't for the Rooney's money.

And the transfer to any other club will benefit Everton for the time we grew the kid. There's a part of the transfer that will be paid to us.

Lol even if he wanted to come back halfway through his career (with no real prospect of winning anything else with us at this present time) we couldnt afford his wages. Simple as. The fact that he definatly wouldnt want to come back to us just yet makes it even more ridiculous. We'll see Wayne again when he's 33 and a 10 goal a season player at most. Sozza.

Considering he can buy out the rest of his contract come the summer (under the webster ruling), United will be keen to sell. But who exactly would be keen to buy?

Pay 40 - 50 million in the new year or just wait 6 months and get him for 5 million. There's no contest. Unless Rooney is that unhappy he wants to go in January - and even if he does I really can't see the fee being above what we sold him for.

If he waits until the summer he can leverage whichever club comes in for him for more wages.

I really doubt altruism towards Everton is behind this move, anymore (and its farcical to think so) than it was behind his first move - if it was why did he threaten to play out his contract and leave on a free, an action that caused the club to get a reduced amount. Rooney is doing what he always does. [Poor language removed] around with whores, get caught, get in the papers, whereupon his agent whispers poison in his ear that the club have leaked it to the media and hey presto he's in for another pay day.

The only benefit out of this whole mess is we get to laugh at United fans. We aren't seeing any money unless I'm very much mistaken.

Unless of course its all been a clever ruse and he buys out his contract in the summer and strolls into finch farm with his boots under his arms.

I don't really believe in fairy tales though.

Pretty shocked to be honest.

If he goes to Citeh it'll be Ashley Cole x100million in the biggest **** you in the history of world football. And to be fair, Citeh are in the [Poor language removed] with the financial fair play rules coming in so spending of £50mill+ for him and £200k a week wages will be even too much for them to cope with.

There's only Barca or Real.

disagree, going to utd from everton at 17 is understandable (money, career) leaving utd at 25 (? ) is different, he has sh*t on boyhood club, and now Man UTD after first saying he wanted to ' end his career at UTD ' and then sh*t on his wife with that escort.

he is scum, but fortunatly a massively talented footy player.
i dont know the cut-throat world of finance/pro football that rooney is in but for a young lad to handle it the way he has
and remain quite sane in the ******** media glare is pretty good, hes made mistakes but compared to some he passes with flying colours. to call him scum is just an ignorant opinion

What else do you call a lad who pays for sex while his missus is pregnant with his first child?
